What's the smallest game that you have on your computer?
The smallest game I have is Wolfenstein 3D (Steam version) and It only takes up 6 megabytes.

Technically, it's probably solitaire or something.
Of games that are worth playing, probably Cave Story+.

it's just dumped from the cartridge that was made for the system to be played ... So Emulation doesn't count as actual pc gaming?

well yeah it's often how i see as well but in a way i'm thinking is that with networks becoming more slowly available overtime for indie developers to jump under smaller budgets ,the rarity of some older titles like SMRPG are kind of lessened off in value since it would have been one of those games that been petitioned by it's fans for a port on the GBA until it's resurgence on the virtual console around 2008.
Now as for Abandonware or Free2play they probably wouldn't make any more money off it like they would have when it was on it's prime yet they still offer purchase of things that would been earned free based on how time you've experianced with such useless trinkets and accessories for your characters. Defunct companies and there former workers probably wouldn't have to worry so much about piracy since the licenses and rights would have not been bought of under a new name from years of being out of business and franchises that might have and little to moderate success by may have been forgotten by the time they were made.

Apart from any pre-installed windows games, I think Machinarium which is 390 mb in size if I'm not mistaken. Everything else I have is well over 1 GB, some 5-6.

VVVVVV at 42 megabytes, CaveStory+ is close at 48.
42's pretty small for an adventure game that has a setting where you need to beat the game in one life and sitting, isn't it?

Yea doesn't look like anything is going to beat Zork, no real game anyway I am sure someone can randomly make a 1 line text game if they wanted.
