Anyways, there's a group called MA Dubstep, they scout the best dubstep artists, most of them club oriented, I have a few on my profile

Most of it feels too formulaic, and this even applies to the old skool tunes that thrive off a sinister, bassy vibe alone.

Much prefer bareboned dub or trip-hop any day. It's a personal preference, but from a purely musical point of view, it is more refreshing than hearing 90% rearrangements of the same off kilter percussion and basslines.

To put this in perspective, I'm a great fan of jungle and not at all keen about drum n' bass. Why is this so? Well, the potential for growth and difference in jungle is far more lenient than something that thrives off of the same - exact - pattern for far too many lines to keep an active listener's interest. Same feeling regarding dubstep, and the affectionately titled permutation brostep represents. While yes, there is a certain flexibility available, production is always coiled and rounded for bassy impact.

youtube quality really doesn't do it justice

it doesn't really vary in tempo/momentum and lacks the vocals which add variety to the other two, so i can see why you might not like it

it's excellent dark and dirty dubstep though
