Flash keeps crashing Jul. 22nd, 2012 @ 05:48 AM Reply

OK, i have this flash file on Macromedia flash 8. it keeps randomly crashing, more than usual.
This project is bigger than normal for me, so i wondered, is it the file size?
someone help me with this, or at least tell me if the file size DOES affect the chance of crashing

Flash 8 is a buggy crashy program from 6 years ago. Filesize does make a difference and this behaviour should be expected, Flash 8 was created with the intent of making animated banner ads, not games or movies.

Am I the only one who didn't have many problems with Flash crashing?

What program would you suggest then?

it's been about a year since the last post in this thread.

it would depend on what you're looking to do. Flash is an animation IDE, and thus you should go ask around the animation forum. You could also get a copy of a newer version of Flash.
For a programming IDE, use FlashDevelop. It's free, and far, far superior to the Flash IDE in terms of a coding environment.

Programming stuffs (tutorials and extras)
