From what I read online about this and this is correct. Plus over there all the fans got the original raw deal with this just like most of the other countries that pick up this anime.
American dubbers had to be the only idiots thinking they could do better by rewriting the script for many of the seasons and changing the wonderful music it original had to the crap that played in it.
Thanks Tram! Now to add to my never ending list of shows to watch but seem to fail to get around to (yes GoT is still on that list).

Abridgimon? Like that whole Yugi-Oh Abridged thing?

Christ on a motorcycle woman! How many times to I have to remind you about the hot sex in that show before you watch it?!
Abridgimon? Like that whole Yugi-Oh Abridged thing?
Yeah, and DBZ abridged. And Code ment. And Hellsing abridged. Made by the same group of people too.
Fuck I love abridged stuff.

You mean frontier? Do yourself a favour. Go watch Tamers. If you enjoyed frontier, it should blow your mind right out of your fricking skull.

Here is a fandub of how it would sound if it was translated
The original braveheart
Both of which sound a whole lot better then the shitty hey digimon used to replaced it. Seriously if they had to use something to replace it this would have been a much better choice for the english dub But still don't compare to braveheart
To be honest as much as I love brave heart, I think it was maybe a little too 'happy'. I mean these kids were trapped in a dangerous, alien place. The intro shouldn't really feel like "Yeah, we can do this!" It should be more "Oh fuck we're all gonna die!". Doesn't really excuse the english intro though.
Although I will say I think it was great for their marketing department. Simple, repetitive and god-awfully catchy. Nearly everyone who watched this show can still "sing" the intro from memory. It's like fucking Ducktales, it just burrows into your brain.

while this is kind of true Braveheart played whenever the digimon would shinka (Evolve) and the lyrics actually fit the situation.

Sadly that was the reason why they changed the song from brave heart to hey digimon. However if you listen to something enough times it will burrow it's way into your memory which is what the marketing department didn't remember. Sure hey digimon is a lot more simple and catchy then brave heart, but hey digimon had no type of soul to it unlike braveheart. Plus if given the chance I am willing to bet brave heart would be been in American kids brains as well. But sadly we may never know.

Oj yeah, Butterfly was the japanese intro, not Brave Heart wasn't it? Well either way the tone was off.

I know, however I looked for a while, and that was the only thing I could find that had braveheart translated. There was never a dubbed version of the song made in english >_<
I can't really decide over season 1 or 3. I have a lot more memories from season 1 because it was my favorite show as a child. It's more nostalgic for me while I only ever watched all of season 3 as a teenager. However season 3 was a lot more dark and realistic. It was a lot more bad ass and wasn't as childish.
I don't know what to put here.

That moment where Jerri lost hope in the world & sunk into darkness...it was the best/saddest part
I saw a few episodes of Digimon when it was on American TV years ago. It seemed okay, but nothing too special.
I have a PhD in Troll Physics

I guess the first one? After the 2nd iteration it kinda sucked.
Anybody kinda hope for a theatrical rerelease of Digimon: The Movie for the 15th anniversary, since its already to late for the 10th anniversary?
I don't remember it mostly, I think the first season was good.

I've never seen any of the Digimon anime.
The one where renamon got fucked
I've seen all six seasons of Digimon, and its one of my favorite anime (though season 5 Data Squad/Savers, not so much... but I will admit there was some good parts) This includes the Xros Wars season some of you guys have been mentioning. It had ended some time ago... over 70 episodes, the longest yet. Its notable for many things, this new form called DigiXros, how its divided into three arcs and the last one had... well, the last arc was mostly MOTW, episodic but the final few episodes which is really, really a big impact for the digimon franchise.

Yep! They're all BACK for one whole episode. A few episodes from the arc they have appeared, like Rika (Tamers) and Mimi (Adventure) in the previous episode un-shadowed, Tai and Marcus too.

dat movie...as if they give any fucks about it *plays Kids In America*
I'm a big digimon fan, I still play Digimon 4 for gamecube but it's a really hard question.
I only watched 4 seasons. I loved the first Digimon's storyline, but I loved Digimon 02's Digimon a bit more. I didn't get to watch much of the 3rd season because I found it boring and always fell asleep, I'll probably give it another try since I'm older now and probably understand it more. Digimon 4 was awesome I loved the concept of humans participating in battles instead of just setting there without even telling them what attack to use.
Did you say Digimon:Re-Digitized? is that like a remake of the 1st season?
This is my badly made signature.
