So I just finally finished a essay where I literally argued that life is not worth living? What will my teacher say? What the fuck? Am I going to offend the teacher? I am, aren't I?

I never wrote something like this before. I'm soooo afraid to send this essay to my teacher now. It's due in a week but I feel like I should send it now.

As much as you probably want to send that essay to your teacher in order to state your opinion or your radical idea that will surely shock and freak people out, you're in high school.

High schools, especially their teachers, aren't susceptible to opinions/essays like this and you could get in trouble for whatever reason this is against school policy/curriculum.

But you can always be a cheeky bastard and send it anyways. Who knows, maybe it'll go in your favor.

I had to write an essay about The Catcher in The Rye. If the teacher didn't want responses such as mine she should have given a different book.

If you want my opinion, this is going to be quite a risk presenting this to your teacher. The teacher might think you need psychiatric help because of what you have written. Have you had thoughts of suicide lately?

I'm in therapy at the moment. The doctors are very concerned about me.

Honestly don't expect any professor to be completely unbiased, writing such a radical paper is risky. If it's due in a week, perhaps you should take that time refining it into a well written argument.

Because if it's not well written, the teacher's bias towards living will inadvertently sink your grade.

Considering it's school you'll probably be put on suicide watch and recommended to a therapist. But I agree with your argument

They send you to talk to the counselor for stuff like that.
