Toy Story 4 and Finding Nemo 2?
Toy Story 3 was the perfect ending to the series, and Finding Nemo does not need a sequel at all.
Why not make an Incredibles 2? Because that would make sense?
Old news, all Pixar has ever done in it's existence is make childhood classics that are only good because they're classics. They've always been sellouts.
I suspected Pixar selling out when they were first bought by Disney. Seriously, who wanted not only a sequel to Cars, but a spin-off as well? Nobody, that's who.
I'd rather die a Wolf fighting against the Herder, than die a Sheep heading for the slaughter.

While that have been going the same route that Dream Works has by milking the success with sequels, as long the sequels are well done, I'm fine with it.
Pixar generally tends to put better effort than Dream Works so who knows? Granted, Toy Story 4 doesn't seem necessary however...

yeah, but they still have original IPs in development (good dinosaur, one based on the day of the dead holiday, and some film taking place "inside a girl's mind")

I heard Cars 2 was a disappointment.
I could check it out one day but was it that bad?

You obviously haven't heard of the Monsters Inc. PREQUEL.
I know it's not Pixar by a long shot but there's going to be a Scream 5 and 6.
In order to be a sell out, they'd have to go against their integrity and morals or whatever just to make money or be successful. And they've always made money and been successful. People are going to see their movies regardless. I think it's more a question of "have they just given up on originality, making all these sequels" then anything, and either way it's debatable.
Life is a performance, and the world is full of critics. Give it your all like it's your last show.
You don't even want to know
Selling out involves compromising your principles.
What principles are Pixar compromising?

It's the lowest rated movie by Pixar on Rotten Tomatoes, with only 38% percent of critics giving it a positive review. Now I'm not saying that we've seen the apex of Pixar's empire and it's all downhill from here, but let's keep this fact in mind.

tbh ive only liked a couple pixar movies, i think people are more amazed by the CGI 3D animation rather than the actual plot.

Goes to show that not everything from Pixar are gold.

I'm not concerned because Pixar seems to always put out flawless gems (not counting Cars and Cars 2). Do we see an immediate need for a Finding Nemo 2? Maybe not, but I'm sure it will be great. Toy Story 3 was doubted before it was released, but a lot of people consider 3 to even be the best in the trilogy. Toy Story 4 can also be great, even if 3 did wrap up the trilogy pretty nicely.
People crave more of the things they like. Besides, it's their job making those movies.
This is my signature. It is a nice signature.
Cars and Cars 2 had the youngest audience range of any of the pixar films. It appealed almost exclusively to little kids, and that is why older people weren't fond of it. But Pixar was willing to forgo the broader appeal because Cars represented the greatest merchandising potential of any movie they've produced. Seriously, they sold millions more "Cars" toys than the toys of any of their other films.
Selling a fuckton of merchandise to a young demographic accomplishes two things:
1. It establishes Pixar as the premier kids' film studio in existence, thus initiating children into the Pixar fold. They will then grow up with Pixar.
2. They can keep their studio solvent, hire top-notch talent, and devote their accrued resources to their more artistic and meaningful works like "Wall-E" etc.
I expected the worst with Toy Story 3 -- but they pulled it off, with a grade A ending to the series -- and now we could have more?
I demand The Incredibles 2. Do it, Pixar. Quit while you're ahead when it comes to Toy Story. Please, don't turn into Dreamworks.
I believe Tom Hanks already announced that a fourth Toy Story film would be made shortly after Toy Story 3 came out, so that's no surprise.
Anyway, I think it's a bit lame that all these animation film companies come up with so many pointless sequels nowadays. Admittedly some of them are good (Shrek 2, Toy Story 3), but most series became very bland when they got to the third or fourth film and a sequel to Finding Nemo and Monster Inc. is not something I really get excited for either. I just hope Pixar will also work on some original content and isn't to focus their attention on pay checks like this for the next couple of years.
Coincidentally, I'm going to say Brave this afternoon. I had very high expectations for this one, but I heard a lot of mediocre reviews.

If they find a way not to butcher the story then it's all good
Does anyone actually read these?
They should make new series/new stuff instead of sequels.
How in the fuck can a partner of Disney "sell out?"
People sell out to THEM.

After seeing the Monster's Inc University trailer I kinda want to see what Pixar does with a College film.

They won't be getting drunk smoking pot or getting laid so their options are limited.

Yes they tried to make the audience the star forcing us to take him seriously rather then be straight up comic relief.

I think monsters inc 2 might not be a bad idea.

How to review like your opinion matters
Pixar has dug themselves a hole so deep they will never gain there dignity back. Let's take a look through here masterpieces. I've been a huge Pixar fan my entire life and have grown up to this day loving every little production they do, I have all the movies and shorts on DVD except Brave, and some of the latest theatrical shorts. They started with hilarious, entertaining silent shorts like The Adventures Of Andre and Wally B, Luxo Jr, Red's Dream, Tin Toy, Knick Knack all those classics that were very clever an were quite revolutionary. They went on to produce there own feature film the first full film all computer animated: Toy Story. This included the crack up short Geri's Game which makes me smile to this day. Toy Story, along with follow-up A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, were both emotionally attaching and comedy ensuing.
They'd later work on productions like For The Birds, Monster's Inc, Mike's New Car, classics that would really take a step up in animation works. These were to, funny and really well done. I felt Boundin' and Finding Nemo were heart touching films that really brought the characters to life. Pixar has always been known for it's loveable characters, enjoyable moments and relating humour and thus it was throughout The Incredibles, Jack Jack Attack, One Man Band, and I personally even found Cars a great film. Many disregarded it and I agree it wasn't Pixar's greatest ideas with a story that could have worked just as well with talking mail boxes but the plot itself was truly brilliant. Later shorts like Lifted, Mater and the Ghost light and Your Friend The Rat had more than necessary amounts of talking but it still seemed like good ol' Pixar.
Ratatouille was below my expectations but as usual the writing was incredible as was the animation with Wall-E that blew audiences out of there seats and made any Pixar fan burst with joy as humanity returned to Earth. Up was just pure classic humour that relied more on action/adventure scenes rather than a beautiful plot but it was still a great film. Then came Toy Story 3, my favourite film to date and possibly will remain that forever on. Perfectly written, fantastic ending, thrilling scenes and as usual loveable characters. They were at the top of there game with perfectly beautiful writing and animation which sparked with Pixar ideas in every line.
Then came Cars 2. What a piece of shit. It was clearly greed and all for the money. Same with Brave, beautiful animation but it's just not Pixar humour. There just worried about box office hits rather than the writing now. In my eyes Toy Story 3 was not just the end of a trilogy I grew up with, but the end of Pixar as I knew it.

That's the only sequel they could make at this point that would make sense to make. Other than that, there's the Monsters Inc. prequel, which might be okay.
Here's my problem with the Monsters Inc. prequel.
I already know the ending! Sully and Mike become life long friends.
Monsters Inc and Finding Nemo don't even need sequels
