So I'm working in Flash to animate my senior thesis project this year. It's going to be screened in a movie theater. Basically, I have this initial worry that even if animate at 1080p, that blowing up the picture will look pixelated since I will have exported every frame as a 1080 png file. Are these frames unfounded.
Sorry, I meant are these fears unfounded?

Your best bet is 2K (2048Ã-1080) or 4K (4096Ã-2160)

Unfortunately no. I'm from Chicago, but am a film major at Wesleyan in Connecticut. It's my senior thesis.
I'd say the best option to have a smooth outcome is to use the Aspect Ratio Calculator for whatever resolution you'd want to animate http://andrew.hedges.name/experiments/aspect_ratio/
When it's done, simply add a "fullscreen" button on the edge like The-Weebl does
Ladies ladies I know all about making bablies
and export it with all the .html page assets (you'll only have to open the .html file for the .swf to play) if the computer it'll be viewed on won't have the stand-alone flash player.
