Gas prices have been falling a bit lately, but it's still fucking painful to watch those numbers go up at the pump. What do you drive and how much do you pay?
I got a '96 Toyota Tacoma that gets really shitty MPG (despite having an I4) and I pay about $3.15 per gallon here in Jersey, or roughly $60 for a fillup.

About 4 bucks in Seattle. But then again I take the bus so I don't know the exact ammnt.
About $3.99 a gallon here, although some gas stations have the nerve to charge about $4.99 if paying with credit.
Close to $1.25 per liter in my town.
That's like $4.73 per US gallon.

About $1.17 here in southern Ontario, which to you American folk is about $4.42. Which is ridiculous because we have our own oil sands. Good thing I don't drive.

You think that's bad? At this moment the price for regular gas here is 1.79 euros per litre (or $8.32 per gallon). It's the highest gas price I've ever witnessed and it's still going up actually.
This makes owning a car a little too expensive for me, now that I still have to live off student support and my side job.

I pay £1.27p (GBP) per litre of fuel.
So let's convert this to 'american' and see where we compare. These are just rough numbers and I haven't filled up in a week so the price may have changed.
1 US gallon is typically 3.8 litres.
£1.27p in USD is $1.90c
1 US gallon of fuel costs in GBP is £4.82p.
£4.82p in USD is $7.50c.
So there you have it. I'm paying over double the amount you are and I'm in a country where you get snot boxes that have smaller engines than most american motorbikes.
