So summer is here and no summer is complete without Steam siphoning money out of your bank account like a Nigerian Prince. But it doesn't have to be completely bad! By being a member of NG you now have a chance to win some games!

Here's how it works, by posting a response here you get a chance to win a pool of games I buy as they go on sale (So far Terraria is in the pool). At the end of the week, I put all the names into a random generator and one name pops out and wins the games (if the person owns a game in the list I'll run it again). The trick is if you do something creative, for example: compose a song, draw a picture, write a limerick, your chances go up. I enter you name 3 times in the list. However there are some limits, you can only post once and you must have a post count of around or over 500. Just to make sure some fly by night person doesn't come in and win.

How does that sound Newgrounds? I also have steam keys for the Humble Indie Bundle, so maybe most creative thing wins that? If not I'll just add it to the pot.

Sounds like a nice little contest. I may try writing a song for this, when is the deadline though?

An update to the pot.

I bought Binding of Isaac then checked just now and saw it went on sale while it was on sale T-T moral of the story, wait until the last day until you buy the regular sale items. Anyway, I have Binding of Isaac, Terraria, and Half Life 2: Episode One (from the coal at winter sales).

Anything, as long as it's creative. I guess I didn't explicitly say it had to be related to Steam, but after seeing these cool Steam related entries, it would be preferred.

I already have terraria but it would be nice for a gift to someone on my friends list.

I'll enter, this is nice of you. I love the community on this site, lots of generous people. I made this picture, not sure if it counts as a chance boosting thing. Its not very good, it was just a quick mess around with GIMP haha. Just some of the games that are on sale at the moment.

So the last game I added was Frozen Synapse (buy one get one free), but due to unforeseen events that will be the last game I will be adding. I had a pre-paid credit card but when I went to use it, I found out it expired. Anyway, good luck to all, I guess I'll have more time to work on my random person generator.

Its all fun anyway. Having three will give you a better chance, but you're right you could win even if you only had one entry.

Usually I'd write a song for something like this... but I'm feeling lazy, and there's not really a whole lot I want anyways... so I'm just gonna stick with 1 measly entry.

If it's random, what's the point in putting any effort in?

I'm not sure I understand the question.

If you're asking what's the point of making a creative entry, it's because it gets you three chances to win.

If you're asking what's the point of putting effort into the creative entry, it's because the most creative entry gets Humble Indie bundle V steam keys. If you already have it but the person who gets chosen doesn't, I'm sure we can work out a compromise.

Basically, I raffle the games to a single person, if they have games on the list already they get the games they don't have then I re do the raffling.

HOWEVER, if the winner of the most creative entry already has the humble indie bundle but does not have a game the winner of the raffle already has there will be some switcherooing. If the winner of the raffle already has a game and the winner of the creative entry wants the Humble Indie bundle, I'll just run the raffle again.

Hopefully that makes sense.
