I learned that the sun is considered a star in elementary school... And that fact has been repeated to me by science teachers all throughout my middle school and high school career.

I think you need to re-examine your scientific understanding of our world before you tell others to get their facts straight.

Your enthusiasm is most appreciated though, I do encourage you to learn more about the subject matter if you wish to start scientific discussions on the BBS.

No, a planet is something that revolves around a sun.
