I am new on newgrounds and I would like to show my work. I have not yet been scouted yet. You can go to my profile and if you like my work you can scout me. Scout me only if you feel that my work is good enough for me to be scouted.

People like you more when you don't ask to be scouted, let your work speak for itself if you're good we'll scout you.
Also you'd be better off posting your work in the thread or make an official thread for yourself.
Moving on then. I'm not going to go too in depth here but two of the pictures you have up look to be traced. I'm not going to do the layering thing because other people will probably do that.

No they are not. That's the picture that I painted though. I am new at digital painting so I don't now how to do short cuts. that's why it looks the way it is, because I spent hours on one little piece at a time. If you think my Olivia munn looks good then you should check this guy out http://mindcraft93.deviantart.com/favourites/#/d54qb4l I was actually inspired by him. I also been studying Japanese manga style at an art school for six years. Anyone that ever did any form of that style knows that your lines and colors have to look very clean.

My latest two peices were done on differernt programs. SAI to be exact. I am a damn good artist when it comes to traditional. Having my skills and starting on digital is weird because once you learn how to use a program it makes your first stuff look like crap compared to your new stuff. I don't understand why people are acting all butt hurt. The picture is good, but not that great. By the way, the way you guys been talking shit is totally disrespectful to someone who is defending our country, you fat lazy sons of bitches!!! good night.

Nobody is acting butt hurt here. We are simply unsure as to weather or not these have been traced and suspicious of any attempted art theft and/or tracing issues. It happens with some frequency here and you are new and we haven't seen anyo other work from you so we cannot gauge your skill level.

That is true. People are trying to judge the new guy that only has up four pieces of art. I'm new to newgrounds, not the art world. When I get up more pieces feel free to comment, but right now some of you guys are just inviting derision. I have no problem with people critiquing my work, but it is also hard for someone to keep their mouth shut when negative lies are being told about something they have a passion for... just saying.

Do you have any progress shots of this? Maybe your underlying sketches? Or previous unfinished versions?

ok, so it's a crime to paint a picture of a photo ? and you cut off the bottom of the real picture to make it look like I copied it exact. I didn't do the lower arms because I messed up on my grid.

You're not painting a picture of a photo, you're painting a picture over a photo. Big difference. And again, if you're using a grid, can you show us? I'd love to see your technique.

Just wanted to reiterate this point, since the dress pattern from the original photo is still visible in your painted version.
We'd love to see what your capable of in traditional art. Until then, I see no reason why you should remain scouted for these paintings that are either paint-overs or traces. You could have handled it much better by showing your sketches, rather than telling us about your military service.

Hopefully your traditional pics can shut us up and prove us wrong.

Everyone, I have been unscouted and listening to all of your words made me realize that I don't have to draw someone elses work to be phenomenal. I can create my own pieces from scratch and it would be just as good. Drawing someone elses work when your 10 teen is ok, but doing it at my age is imature and I apologize. I will delete the pictures that I have copied off of my newgrounds account and start a new. I hope that eventually that I will be scouted again. until then I will try not to hold my head in shame.
