Partner/Groups for Music Collab Jul. 3rd, 2012 @ 06:32 PM Reply

Well, after many (and by many, I mean MANY) questions regarding partners for our next collab, I decided that it might be best (and a lot more organized) that we have a seperate thread for that so you people, who are in the collab, can either find someone to partner up with, or have us help you find someone to partner up with.

If your not in the Team Music Collab, sign-ups are here!

And discussion about the Team Music Collab can be found Here (I think it starts at page 5)

So basically if you need a partner, post the following:

1. Genre's you work with.
2. BPM
3. Genre's you wouldn't mind working with.
4. How often you'd be able to work with your partner on the collab.

I think I'm missing a few things, but this will give a general idea as to what people can expect if they want to partner with you. Also, because the collab hasn't started yet, a lot of the info is still pending, so don't expect it to be solid just yet (once the July 11 deadline has passed, I'll send out a mass pm (like I did last time) regarding the rules and the decision between me and the leads ChimeraNoise and Trampzy.

IMPORTANT: Discussion between partners is strongly urged between PM and the Discussion Thread (found above), so I really want to keep this thread to post containing info about prospective partners. Basically, just pm the person you want to partner with, and if you want to discuss what you want to do in public, then leave that in the discussion thread. It just makes things a lot easier for me to read as I tend to miss some things when there's a ton of discussion going on.

But I think that about sums it up... Good luck finding a partner!

1. Genre's you work with:
Mostly Drum n Bass, Techno, and hardstyle. But i can try Ambient, Dubstep and Orchestral. (Not so skilled in the last 3)

2. BPM
Anything you want, i dont really have a specific bpm, just depending on the genre, but i must say, mostly 130-175 bpm

3. Genre's you wouldn't mind working with.
Orchestral...

4. How often you'd be able to work with your partner on the collab.
Mmmm, i can work with my partner daily, from 1 to 3 hours max.

By the way, i would like to have Skype as the chat system to work. My Skype account is (estar488) without parentheses, but Pm me first, or i will think youre a stranger! :P

1] Genres: I am all for Classical such as Celtic, Nordic folk, Orchestra and pseudo-Orchestra (synth as orchestra samples)

General Electronic genres such as Chiptune, Breakbeat, DnB, EDM, Ambient and any demoscene-ish genre.

2] BMP: your choices! I can go from super slow 50 to speedkiller 220 BMP.

3] Any other I didn't mention... teach me! :-P

4] All the time. I have worked in a collab that had over 5 people. 23 minutes long piece!

1. Ambient and Techno.
2. I'd say from 100 to 130.
3. I could try working with house and industrial but I would need to watch some tutorials and stuff first.
4. Well I'd say per week probably from 5 or 6 hours a week.

1. Genre's you work with:
Many. I create UK Hardcore, Hardstyle, DNB (not as well), Dubstep (not as well), Orchestral, House (electro, progressive, etc), pretty much anything you need me to create.

2. BPM:
110-190

3. Genre's you wouldn't mind working with.
I feel comfortable with House, Hardstyle, and UK Hardcore.

4. How often you'd be able to work with your partner on the collab.
Being the age that I am I am home all the time. You can contact me 24/7. However you will need to add me on Skype if you would like to work with me. It makes life easier for me.

Right, so here we go.
I primarily deal with Orchestral and House
I've done any BMP from 80-160
I don't mind Trance, or really any other electronic genre. Dubstep is something I can't ever get to sound good, so I'll leave that out.
I'd be able to work with the partner pretty much ever day for a little bit, maybe an hour or two depending on my work schedule.

That it? I think so. Okay...peace out.

1. Genres you work with.

Drum and Bass, Dubstep, Drumstep, IDM, and chiptunes.

2. BPM

Anything's fine with me, really.

3. Genres you wouldn't mind working with.

100bpm, Classical, and Hip-Hop. I don't really practice much with those (except for 100bpm, which I'm trying to get good at), but I think I'd be able to do them well enough with a partner.

4. How often you'd be able to work with your partner on the collab.

Any time he'd need me, really. I'm on summer vacation right now, so he can get in touch with me basically any time I'm not sleeping, unless I let him know (in advance) that I'm not going to be available at a certain time.

1. Genre's you work with.

Ambient, Jazz, Orchestral, Experimental... I do a fairly broad range of things. I have a fetish for doing soloistic piano, though.

2. BPM

I'll seriously do anything.

3. Genre's you wouldn't mind working with.

I don't generally do hardstyle or other heavy electronic stuff, but nothing says we can't try putting our genres in a blender - could be neat. Otherwise, I'm willing to work with most anything.

4. How often you'd be able to work with your partner on the collab.

I'm out of town until August 1st, so it might be a little splotchy until then. After that, though, I can work on this pretty much every day, if necessary. (I don't see 30 seconds of music taking that long, anyways)

I can work with pretty much any genre except for Orchestral and Dubstep.

Welp, since my supposed partner hasn't responded to me since I last messaged them (a month ago), I'm deciding to work with someone else.

1. Genre's you work with.

Video-Game Style Music, House (mostly electro), Jazz, Techno, and Dance.

2. BPM

Best at 120-150, can work with 151+

3. Genre's you wouldn't mind working with.

Any genre as long as I have an idea of how the genre works, and a partner willing to give me ideas about the genre they want to work with.

4. How often you'd be able to work with your partner on the collab.

I would say anytime, but things come up, so I'm not sure specifically at what times I'll be able to work on the collab, but I would say about maybe 72 Hours (at the most) per week.

Already signed up, but I still haven't got a partner/PM from anyone. If someone wants to collab, hit me up with a PM!

1. Genre's you work with.

House, Progressive House, Dubstep, Moombahton

2. BPM

I don't really care, but if I were to estimate, I'd say between 100-150.

3. Genre's you wouldn't mind working with.

Trance, hardcore, hardstyle.

4. How often you'd be able to work with your partner on the collab.

Right now I have holidays, and I work almost everyday during evening hours (live in The Netherlands btw), so I'll probably be able to work with a partner everyday for about 3-4 hours.

Electronic & Trance definitely.

Well, I'll usually be available during 6-8 PM GMT. That's when I can usually work freely with no interruptions.

Sorry if I'm a little late.

1) My genres are rock, grunge and alternative rock.

2) I can work with tempos witjhin the 70-140 range.

3) I wouldn't mind putting a little funk or metal in my work.

4) I think I'll be able to work with my partner 1, maybe 2 hours a day.
