Seems to me that the only qualifying factor that people still acknowledge is mere quantity, not quality.

Better than the CFC. However I foresee a resurgence in the near future.

Keeps things entertaining. And when you got groups like these, it's not as much (but still exists) about the quality of flashes, as in the mere enjoyment in creating them, sharing inside jokes with one another, and the simple thrill of seeing angry reviews from those who don't get the joke since they're outsiders.

If I decide to take this thread seriously for some reason, what Newgrounds is lacking the most is notification when things are posted. As it stands the only way to know someone replied to a thread, or to know that someone commented on one of your news posts, is to actively go looking to see if it happened. This is information that should be provided to you automatically, as a way to increase your engagement in the website. Give us a thread watchlist, and give us notifications when someone comments on something we've posted, and I guarantee community engagement will increase.

the threads have gotten less interesting.

the portal has become a complete turd. nothing gets blammed and the stuff that gets submitted are usually unfunny parodies or just plain terrible.

reviews are "OMFG 10/10 love this" all of the time, and negative reviews are less common.

the whistle is gone. WHAT THE FUCK.

"featureless chat" is a stupid idea. and it's usually full of noobs.

This. I do miss having animated sigs and profile pictures. It provided ample opportunities for fun gif. stuff.
