Itt: We Complain About Newgrounds.

Just bitch about whatever pisses you off here.

I'll start:

-The flash portal isn't about submitting your own fun little animations and repetitive cock-jokes and watching people crack up at your little minimum-effort gem while a couple big-shot ground-breaking artists rise above the rest and make the front page. It has become a pool of mediocrity and cookie-cutter garbage for ad-revenue while the same big-shots are pumping out their shit to Youtube for a larger fan-base.

-The userbase has sunk tremendously since its peak back in the mid '00s. General alone used to have hundreds of people all posting and keeping the BBS alive and running. Nowadays we're lucky if we get a post per minute. I hardly need to explain my reasoning for the decline in the flash portal, here's some stats.

Entries submitted on an average day in 2006: 181
2007: 163
2008: 152
2009: 134
2010: 104
2011: 71
Entries submitted yesterday: 67

-Spam crews are completely fucking gone. I used to enjoy all the little crews posting shit every day, pissing off the general 12-year-old userbase of newgrounds but they've completely moved on from here, aside from a couple little groups like the soups squad who hardly post anything as it is.

- All of the newgrounds related third party general clubs are dead. Stickam is dead. Paltalk is dead. The transformice group is dead. The Monopoly crew is dead. The Risk Crew is dead. All we've really got left is the google+ circle, and that's not even that great.

- Posting on the BBS has gotten lazy as fuck. People will respond to threads just for the sake of responding to threads. I can guarantee this thread will get at least 3 or 4 posts with some people saying, "TL;DR" or "Quit complaining you whiny bitch.". Not to mention the people who will say those exact quotes just because I said them.

- All the painfully obvious review statwhores. (I'm looking at you Ericho). Those cookie-cutter reviews that just say:

Kinda why i stopped coming here around 08. I'd still pop by and lurk (like now) and post here and there but after a while things just got boring as shit. I mainly made sigs for people and would participate in a Photoshop thread here and there but that was about it.

I will admit that my first real adventure into the Internet was on NG and I'm pretty sad to see it turn out like this. I think it's mainly because people who were here in 06 and before have sort of "grew up" and moved on to other sites. NG will always win when in comes to sight design (even if some of the new stuff is a tad annoying) Heck i remember when the Audio Portal was nothing but CD icons and a play button. But all in all, I feel like my time here has kinda run It's course. I'm still gonna come by and lurk the forums and check for new tunes in the Audio portal and all that. But as far as posting and hanging out on the site like I use to... Probably not gonna happen.

You didn't even see the correlation within your own post. Nice one.

The absence of spam crews definitely have in impact on the amount of flashes submitted, but not that much.

I don't care about the site not having as many users as it used to because as long as we have a few good fellas here in the forum that is all I need. And, I can't believe you just complained about the lack of spam crews. I am just glad mods have relaxed since they had a year long strict period about starting about two years ago.
