Yeah, after games get out of "Under Judgement" the ratings tend to start dropping. Why?
1) There aren't as many people who vote for UJ games than for, say, the "new" or "popular" games
2) UJ voters tend to be soft
3) "New" and "Hot" voters tend to be very harsh and leave critical reviews - gamers expect damn near perfect games when they go to indie-dev sites like newgrounds

Just the way it is, I suppose :/

The biggest problem is the harsh nature of a lot of voters, they expect a perfect game and have no idea it was made in just 72 hours. We were at 3.8, now 3.4ish i think... tis a shame :(

by the way, the Jam was 72 hours, not 48 hours. It says 48 on the front page's link :P

I personally had a ton of fun working on my games this weekend.
I was part of three, but sadly only one made it through.
Luckily, that one is currently doing very well. :]

But I can agree on the harshness on the ratings. I mean, here I am with absolutely certainty that my game is at least a 4.95, and we don't even have a 4.00!

I don't know about you, but I know for a fact that I just submitted the worst engine (by far) that i've ever created.
No, i'm not being hard on myself. It really is the worst game engine i've ever made O.o

However, it was made in 72 hours, so i'm damn proud of the level of physics in it :D

Anyway, the games got a fair rating for games that should have been worked on for several months, not a fair rating for games that were worked on for several days.
