this is a rough draft first page for a comic, artwork is much improved from this page to what I'm doing now, just ubable to post due to no scanner anymore. Let me know what you think of the first page. Depending on responses I get I might post up to page 27. All together I have about 100 pages done, but alas, I have no scanner anymore.

Dude, you realize this stuff is literally illegible right? I'm not insulting your typography, so don't get defensive. The size of what you're uploading is just absurdly small and the quality of the picture is not great. It is unreadable.

Atmaybe ng should, after all, its up to them on what I can post(size,format) so blame the crap on them, had to change the format which changed the legibility of my writing. I'm not bashing you for this, I'm just not into being bashed for things beyond my control. I don't know, maybe buy me photoshop, then I can give it some pretty colors and some decent lettering, well, I guess I could do the lettering on paint......

Just upload the larger sized pages on imgur and link them in your posts.

Wooow, so you come to a forum, that revolves around the idea of getting comments in order to improve your work but instead taking those comments and fixing the unreadable, uncritical images you are posting you blame Newgrounds, and bitch about not having photoshop. Kid, the problem is that your work is so small that we can barely see it, instead of posting the whole image, how about you post parts of it, crop it, and post it! That way, we'll understand what you're posting.

You could cut the images into small chunks and upload those with the same dimensions you're currently uploading, and it'd be readable. But that's the least of your problems at this point, your skills are, and I'm being kind here, um.. 'young.' You've got some growing to do. That's good, draw away, draw draw draw, but also, work on some thicker skin. Man, we're being angels compared to how many people are. We're just letting you know that you're wasting everyone's time as is. Your own time included, champ. I can't even tell what I'm looking at, then what's the point?

Keep working, that's good, but also listen to people when they give you grounded advice, and also from people who have likely been working in the art and animation industry longer than you've been alive.

Well since these are actually drafts either way, you can make more pages putting out Less/bigger panels on each. I think it'll work out for all of us. but then again you dont have a scanner.. But this post is far from irrelavent! you can take what i said into consideration, I'm not that useless.

as far as the remarks go, ive heard worse from my grandma, and younger sister. Sure if advice was given, I would pay it mind, but the only one who gave any decent advice was Aigis. Sure, i'm sure there are people here whos been in the industry longer than ive been alive, but that doesnt necessarily mean im that bad. ok sure, I might be young, 26, with only being self taught, drawing for the last 15 years, trying to get into college, but its tough without funds, for classes, transportation, better material for my art to branch into different mediums, I can go on and on, but the point is, dont judge a rough draft from 3 years ago, when I have 20 times as much done since then, these are the only ones I was fortunate to get scanned, using my grandmas scanner, which I have finally been able to reaccess from my ld fb page that I can no longer log in to because of fb issues while they were revamping they're site. Instead of bashing someone trying to explain that issues beyond their control are keeping them from improving their ability to improve, maybe lend some advice that doesnt involve telling them they are a child.

Those are all the same size as the picture you posted in the thread. The idea was to post larger images so people could read them.

and I have improved in leaps and bounds, sure it was a slow start to this point, but you know what they say, Rome wasn't built in a day. Also the fact that I'm able to do anything online is amazing, considering this computer is put together from scrap computers from the junkyard that my dad found.

But, how can anyone help you to improve if no one has seen any of your recent work? People will continue to bash man, but hey what helps them sleep at night. If you can somehow get those newer works up though I'd be glad to help if i can.

I am getting over ffucking smoke inhalation from burning plastic, woke up to a burning trash can, nearly didnt wake up, you know what why am I even bothering, I should just give up on the only thing I've ever been good at, and climb to the top of the sears tower, and jump the fuck off, because I am FUCKING USELESS, I couldn't cut it in the military, and it looks like I wont cut it as an artist either, so u know what. I dont mean to kill your thread with Posts but when you said "something that inspires" do you mean, when you see ART, it inspires you? or do you mean to call yourself ART, referring to "will never inspire another myself". You mean that you are losing yourself?

I'm sorry guys, I'm just at a point in my life where I am looking back wondering if its all been a waste, and if I should keep trying or give up. I really would like to put up better quality images, or even get some editing software, but in current state of being, it is impossible without some money miraculously falling in my lap. Been trying to find a normal job, since being out of the military, but to no avail. 5 years out, and I've had a weekend job in a gas station, 3 years ago, and a seasonal job for 4 saturdays about a year ago. I'm sorry for the irate comments I posted, it just, It's just things have'nt been good for me for most of my life, only so much a person can take before he just snaps, I know, I've come close many times, thanks to the forced lifestyle, living on the streets, alone, trying so hard to bounce back, and being put down for it. Thanks for the critiques. After all, one can't improve if one thinks one is perfect.
