How many of you actually remember what you were doing at the turn of the millennium? I was 7 at the time and I don't remember anything because my memory back then was bad. I don't even know if we took pictures or not.

I know at least half of you were even younger, so I don't expect much.

Goddamn it, I really need to think my OPs through before I post them.

I also meant to write: It's a damn shame that this is only once in a lifetime that we experienced the turning into a new thousand years, yet I don't even remember what I was doing.

I was looking forward to a bright and optimistic first decade of the 21st century.

And look how that turned out.

I don't remember much prior to the 21st century, but my parents tell me I was an absolute nightmare as an infant and toddler.

I can remember what I was doing during the last hour before The New Millennium but I can't remember what I was doing waiting for the celebration. (I was 4 years old mind you) It was most likely either watching my brother play video games or playing video games with him. Probably a Genesis or PS One.

Little 2 year old me was probably either sitting there watching T.V. and seeing the ball go to drop and be thinking "OOOH Shiny" or I was yelling for something I wanted.

I was enjoying the New Year break from my 11th grade class. We ate black eyed peas (southern superstition; supposed to give you luck all year long if you eat black eyed peas with your New Years Eve meal), mashed potatoes and gravy and chicken and watched the fireworks at Midnight.

I was only 5. Don't remember much from back in those days.

Ironically, the only new year's I remember is the one in which I was quite drunk. That was this year though.

If we're talking about the year 2000 (the last year of the 20th century) then I was looking forward to the world's first 1000MHz (1GHz) computer processor.

I was twelve and at the house of my mother's friend. Our families always got together for New Years'.

When the new millennium came in I ran outside screaming at cars.

I was playing in my tree-house that my dad built, I helped him a little on it.
I think my dad said something about it when we were climbing on it.

We had a big celebration in my elementary school. I must have been in second grade. I didn't really know or care what it was about at the time.
