What season finale from any show do you find to be the most sad, and why? I cried at the season finale from Doctor Who season 2. What about you guys?
Six Feet Under.
I fucking bawl my eyes out each time.
If you know the format for that show then you know that each episode starts with a scene showing the death of someone and well in the ending it shows Claire driving up a highway on her own on the way to New York to start a new life with a new job and she plays the gorgeous song Breathe Me by Sia on her radio and so begins a sequence featuring the families future deaths. You watch how they all die in future years and its just horrible honestly. I mean its beautifully done, but when you've watched these characters for years on tv and you see how they will eventually die then it kinda fucking kills your heart. Ruth and Davids death are particularly painful because of who they see as they die and yeah wow I feel like crying just talking about it.
The last episode of Lost had me crying like a bitch. When you watch a show that much in a short period of time you almost become attached to the characters.
Yea, I farm Anal Penguins. Do something about it.

The same thing happened to me with Doctor Who because I had watched two seasons in a row on demand.

You mean Rose getting trapped in an alternate dimension? I wasn't really affected by that. Especially since they kept saying "Rose was gonna die" and it turned out she only "officially" died.
I know, but it was sad she wouldn't be in future seasons. And after watching the first and second season in a row I really had an attachment to her, and it doesn't help I don't like the assistant he has in season 3.
The last episode of House tugged my heart strings. Not so much that I cried, but it had an emotional impact. I've been watching the show for years, it hurt to see it end, but on the other hand the ending was perfect.
