We're hosting a competition to let one of you guys to design an enemy for the game! If you win, your enemy will appear in the final version of the game.
Scimitar Games are currently working on a new title 'Hell Games". You may know some of our other titles such as: Alien Hominid Xtreme and Ruperts Zombie Diary.
Hell Games is going to be an epic adventure game where your character develops to suit how you want to play. At its core, its a platformer fighting game, but as we develop and expand on it e hope it can become much more. To check out a video showcasing an early build of the engine check out this development diary.
You can check out the competition so far in the general forum here: http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/1308933
You can also follow on youtube, or facebook.
I think this sounds like a wonderful competition.

"Here are the competition rules.
1) To qualify, you must post a picture of your design to this thread. The Enemy design can be anything provided that it suits a swords and sorcery theme.
2) You must provide a small bio for the enemy. This Bio would be included in the "Lore" Section of the game, where players read up on the enemies they face. (See example below).
3) The enemy MUST be able to work in a 2D environment. Please watch this development diary to get a better understanding of how the game works.
4) Enemy MUST be original. You cannot use another artists content. You can utilise creatures in the public domain, such as trolls, dragons, goblins, but you cannot use specified content belonging to another artist. Such as the dragon Smaug from The Hobbit.
The deadline for submissions will be The 4th July 2012. And we will announce the winner on the following day."
