Dumping grounds and Scouting. Help?

I tried posting work on dumping grounds, but it wouldn't let me. If I cannot post something into the dumping grounds, how do I post my images in the forums so I have a chance to be scouted? Still a newb, so I can use all the help I can get.

You post your work in a thread just like this one. Just make sure to include the image (or just a part of it) in each post and a link to the actual submission, like this NSFW lol. Providing the link sends people to the submission where they can scout you from. Cool stuff btw

First off, don't ask to be scouted- it hurts your chances. Orn's Handy Dandy Scouting Guide explains the how and why of getting scouted pretty well.

Second, dumping grounds. I don't see how images in your dumping grounds would possibly help you get scouted and I don't know what problem you're having, but going to http://www.newgrounds.com/dump/ and clicking on the "upload new file" option should do the trick. Just select a file to upload and click "submit". Occasionally it's a little buggy for me, probably because of a lousy internet connection, but I've always gotten stuff to work just by trying again.

To upload files in a thread, while making a thread post click on the "upload" button next to the "Include Image?" bar and pick a file of an appropriate type and size. It's not complicated.
