Should a vote be taken to make sure these particular threads are stickied, due to their topics being commonplace on this forum? Rather irritated seeing locked threads often relating to new ppl that are unaware that these threads exist.

Audio Advertisements! (I say this one because I've seen it get buried below the first page before)
If anyone else believes there are other hot threads that should be stickied to minimize red threads, please share here.

Get used to redirecting (it's not that hard, and it lets you beef up your postcount pretty easily if you're interested in that). Not even the global forum rules are stickied after the last redesign, so there's small chance of getting the sticky back, not to mention getting several threads stickied. This contains most of the links but you kinda have to know where it is or look pretty hard to find it, especially if you're new.

Maybe an "FAQ Sticky thread" that holds links to all those threads. That's about all we need in that regard.

Idea!
Someone should make an account called "audiofaq" and make a news post to act as a sticky. Works, right?

No body would read them even if they were stickied. The problem is not the threads visibility, it's that no one cares to look before posting.

No.. who's going to find that? I'm pretty sure Rig or someone already put together one by the way, however it might be outdated.

I like that. In fact that looks to be an awesome inclusion in an FAQ thread here in this forum. As for your thoughts, Back-From-Purgatory, I say that everyone's different: some will be careless, some will be unaware, and then there are those who deliberately do the wrong thing anyway. I think that stickies should be designed in such a way, that it'll be darn-near un-ignorable, when someone sees any forum.

I'm with Back-From-Purgatory on this one. I'm a moderator at another forum, and this is exactly what happens. We have rules threads stickied on the boards and their icons are even different to make them stand out, and yet people still post without reading them.
No one wants to follow rules when they want something; they don't even care if rules exist.
