I'm currently working on an AS3 engine (Platform-Action-RPG) which allows huge freedom to the artist, the project requires alot of work and free time.
The engine lets the artist freely draw maps and renders them into playable maps.
The maps can be infinite, although should probably be split into maps linked to each other.
The engine is completely lag free (alot of thought was put into the engineering and logic) and can support heavy graphics even on weak computers.
The game has all of the features of a RPG and is played like an action game.
Some of the features: Customizable Character and Equipment, Inventory, Factions, Quests, Skills, etc...
The content is edited in AIR applications (run like an .exes for those of you who are not familiar with it) and requires no programming knowledge at all, so that the artist can have some fun too.
What I'm looking for
A very serious and talented artist with impressive skills.
Alot of free time is a must, if you don't have it please don't apply in the first place.
Passion for making games and the will to make the game a success.
The artist will have to take care of all the graphics and animations:
Characters, Monsters, Equipment, Items, Interface, etc.
One perfect character will only have to be animated once, the rest is simply drawing a wide variety of customizable parts and equipment for it.
What I'm offering
The artist will get a share of the sponsorship money once the game is out.
Keep in mind that there will also be a musician.
If you think you got what it takes, please send me a mail:
A demo will be sent to qualified applicants, I'm trying to expose this project as little as possible.

I see you've been looking for a while. Have you tried contacting artists yourself? Expand your scope a bit and scour NG, DeviantArt, FGL etc.. and contact artists you think would fit. Just a suggestion. Good luck finding someone!
