Edd Gould, One Last Homage.

I know this thread has been a thousand times, but now that the last animation Edd Gould will ever take part in has been released, I feel it was necessary.

Space Face. The last animation Edd Gould took part in.

I watched it earlier (around 8:00), and I must be 100% honest, while it's not the best episode in the Eddsworld series, it looks really promising, and I can't wait for the next one.

Now, the reason I didn't make this news immediately after I watched it, is because I wanted to watch more Eddsworld. So, basically, I've been watching that for the last two hours. It brought back a lot of memories, both good and bad.

They made me remember when I heard the news that Edd died, I was so bummed, it really broke my heart.

But the old videos also made me remember the first time I saw Eddsworld; a friend of mine named Tanner showed me Zombeh Attack of some site called FunnyJunk.com. (Don't try to find it, they took it off.) I was like 6, and I was hanging out at Tanner's house, and he showed me a few of Edd's videos, I thought they were funny as hell, but we got in trouble because they were too 'crude' and 'violent.'

So I just wanted to pay homage to Edd one last time. So... RIP Edd.

I miss Edd. Edd was definitely one of my biggest inspirations, and one of the biggest inspirations for a LOT of people on Newgrounds.

I was actually lucky enough to talk to him a few times. I can't deny, he was one of the nicest people I've ever met (and I'm really not just saying that because he just died). Edd randomly decided to trust me. I remember I was talking to him on AIM once (we had talked a few times before) and he sent me a picture of him with a puppet he just made. He told me not to give that picture out to anyone. Every time I think about this, I get so depressed. Like, he actually trusted me with something like that).

I also remember convincing Edd to use png's instead of jpg's during one of his Livestreams where he was drawing a Eddsworld comic (this one, I believe).

I also remember Edd telling me that Matt was getting a bit annoying because he complained that Edd didn't have him say enough lines in some of the EW comics. I also remember him asking me whether he sounded monotone in the beginning of WTFuture.
Those were just some little anecdotes from Edd. He was a nice guy. I haven't talked to him in a while (since October 2010 to say happy birthday (I think Matt was also there...pretty sure they were both drunk). There were also a few other times when my friends and I would add him to a Skype call and he would be completely random (but not stupidly random). I remember I was doing that dumb trick where you cup your hands over your mouth to sound like a drive-thru person. Edd tried it, and I asked him for a hamburger, and he denied me because "this isn't a McDonalds...it's a library" (that story probably didn't make any sense but whatever it's like 4AM and I'm tired). He was legitimately a funny and happy guy.

It's really hard to lose a friend and an inspiration. I actually cried when I found out he died, and cried pretty much every time I walked into my room for the next two days. Call me over dramatic, but I don't care. He was a great guy, and one of the last people I would want to ever see go.

If I don't personally know somebody, I wont mourn their death... Except for Edd. So many years of him making me laugh, it's just tragic that it wont continue. He was talented and hilarious and it's not fucking fair that he's dead. Glad I get to see just a little bit more.

I didn't like Edd's animations, they were okay, but not all that great.

I liked the one with the vampire.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but they're going to continue making Eddisodes. Tom was writing most of the scripts for some of the later Eddisodes. In a Vokle, Tom even said he did a whole script, showed it to Edd and he loved it and didn't make a single change to it. I don't think it'll change -too- much.
But like you said, it's really not fair at all. Edd was a really good guy.

But I like to consider it a giant lesson for myself, which is to never forget old friends.

Like every keeps saying, Edd's world will keep on spinning.
