So guys, while we got a short little glimpse of it last year at the very end of E3, the moment all of us have been waiting for.

PIKMIN 3 HAS BEEN FULLY ANNOUNCED, AND HAS A TRAILER.

Rock Pikmin! HD graphics! Secret flying pink Pikmin we know nothing about at this point (end of video)? Apparently, there will be four commanders, but Olimar will not be present for a currently "secret reason."

I can't wait. Im guessing the single player will have me hooked for a while. Hope there will be the option to kick back and play this game online with friends in a multiplayer setting just like they had in pikmin 2. If they do that I may never put this game down lol.

What makes it all better is that the game works well with the Wii U in theory, the touch screen is perfect for it's type of gameplay.

The music was great, gameplay looks quite refined, Olimar is most likely a supreme emperor of the Pikmin and the four humans are his generals, looks really cool, getting when it comes out.

I just want the bosses to be on a grander scale than Pikmin 2. Honestly, they weren't really challenging and I rarely even lost any Pikmin killing them. If they fix that, the game will be pretty much perfect, as far as I can tell.

I'm pretty sure there is, for motion plus Wii controllers, which I hear work great.

No matter "hard core" (I hate the word) you are, infrared aiming is far more precise than two sticks.

I can't use touch screens. I burned off my finger prints because I was on the lam for a crime I didn't commit, and now that my name is cleared, while I am no longer on the lam, I can no longer use touch screen devices because my fingers are too light and lack finger prints. True story.

Any substance will work, and the Wii U comes with a stylus to use as well. I honestly don't see how a lack of defined finger prints would bar you from using a touch screen device. They activate through pressure, not finger scanning. That would be ridiculous.

Also, I can't think of a single Gamecube shooter that utilized both sticks in the way shooters do today. If there was such a game however, that would be really awkward given how the C-stick is not parallel to the control stick on the controller.

Pikmin 3 looks great, and four player co-op would be fun. They haven't quite shown us if it's split-screen or everybody tries to stay visible on the same screen. One issue I do have is that the trailer doesn't show purple or white pikmin. I'm sure purple are obsolete since rock pikmin serve practically the same purpose, but white was my favorite type in the second game. Not only could they get through poisonous gas, they were the fastest type of pikmin!

I am not going to lie. The game does look amazing. But I do not think that it is worth bying a Wii U right now. At least I am not yet convinced I have to.

One thing, though. I really hope that the rock Pikmin do more than just act as "Heavy Pikmin". That's what the Purple Pikmin were for, dammit.

3 playable characters, and two new Pikmin types, rock and flying are confirmed.

Me as well. I never played the first two, but this looks really good. I might be able to convince my friends to come over play and play multiplayer as well, which looks really fun. Preordered this, but my store claims to have limited copies, so I'll make suto get there early.

I borrowed this game after seeing it a friends and I didn't enjoy it as much as the first two. I don't know why, I just found it boring. A good game, but I didn't feel like playing it or motivated.

Great game so far, only 4 days in, but I'm loving the game. I haven't played a Pikmin game before, so it was a bit confusing, but I got used to it.

I can see some difficult situations arising with three captains to split up (or not, if you want to focus your efforts), especially thanks to the time limit.

Last time I'm going to try and revive this thread I guess.

Beat the game once in about 26 days, with 39/66 fruit. Beat it again (continuing from the day before my first playthrough ended, and got all the fruit, all four upgrades (missed a few logs), got the secret files, all in 36 days, 550 Pikmin deaths, 900 Pikmin remaining.

Great experience, well worth the purchase even if the game had no mission or multiplayer mode. Tried a few missions on my own, had fun. Tried a few with my friends, had way more fun. That Bingo Battle is awesome, we spent 4 hours passing around two controllers for two people to face off, and now my friends and sister love Pikmin.

Got the game within this last week and beat it. Gotta say that I'm not as into this game as I was with Pikmin 2. It just seemed like there was more to do in 2 with more emphasis on exploration and doing whatever you wanted while you worked towards paying off the debt. It's not that this game was bad, but it just didn't live up to the hype for me. :(
