How did you started? 2012-06-05 06:43:38 Reply

Well, i'm still new and i would like to know how did you started? To get ideas for my own animations , like how to start a project, etc.
And i still suck at drawing characters, so if there's any who only draw, and not animating, i would appreciate that to!

Hmm

I get an idea then make a rough script then storyboard it.

Lets go "back in time". When you were new, how did you started? Like, did you started drawing characters, not animated them, but just drawing?

I used to spend alot of time on NG watching cartoons, Spent all my high school years drawing in lessons and failing classes.

Now only just starting to animate my own shit because I am a lazy guy and I hate my job.

i guess you can start by drawing a lot and learn how to draw people
then you can start learning how to animate
there are a lot of tutorials out there
search draw with jazza on youtube
and search flyingpanda1990 tutorials and terkoiz tutorials
Here are some accounts on youtube that give tutorials:
OneyNG, Thespazkidin3d, Jazza, Flyingpanda1990, Terkoiz, and samgreenmedia

Even though I am not the most recognized animator here. Originally I started with sprite animation. Because unlike drawn animation everything is already done for you. Its a great way of learning the tools in flash. Give it a try.

First of all, I hate to be a Grammar Nazi, but this is pissing me off. You should say "how did you start", not "how did you started ?". Even though started is past tense you should still say "how did you start" not "how did you started". Now that that's off back, I started with pivot. It's a great 2d stick figure animation software for newbies at animation. I used that for about 3 years before I moved on to flash animation.

Also give this a try. Helps you lean the anatomy of how things should move

Pic related. Example of something I did ages ago.
