Basically I want to combine live action with animation, and wanted to try using flash. My idea is some what simple, I have a human performing some actions, I trace over them on flash and export it into the video.
How would I do this? 0.o

Can I rotoscope on photoshop then import to flash?
File>import to stage>import video
Now insert a new layer, put it on top and animate on the new layer.
I used to experiment with that a lot. Good luck, and share your results!

I unticked the audio box and managed to import it, now Im getting a black box, and cant see the video.
Right so basically I downloaded a .flv video of youtube, then tired to import it into flash on the timeline.
At the moment Im just getting a black box and nothing plays.
Yeah there was this guy on youtube named flashj0mm who did that
just import your video on a layer
make a new lawyer and animate there
This is my signature

I did that, my video appears to be a black box. When i scroll against the time line there is nothing to trace against.
Right so I managed to do it, heres a link to it

Looks nice but don't rely on rotoscoping too much.

Well theres a way i use. First select your background color, choose this color #00FF00 ..That is chroma key color, and then start animate, dont put any other backgrounds in it, then export your animation in a .MOV file, and open Adobe premiere or sony vegas, drop both your animation and the video you want :3. Put your animation on top of the video and add the chroma key effect. There you go, i think thats the best way to do it, cause if you try video in flash it will crash to often. Hope it helps
oh wait, also it depends the colors youre using on the characters, if youre using green tones, select a blue #0000FF or a red #FF0000 . So, you just rotate between those basic colors.
