What? A Humble Bundle Of Interest?! 2012-05-31 15:01:28 Reply

Yeah, I know, the are fucking bundles everywhere, where one game will foot the bill for the other generic, boring shit crammed in the for the sake of filling a gap.

This one is different. I've never seen a bundle containing games of such a fine calibre. Each of these games (barring Superbrothers) is recognized as being incredible experiences, and held in the highest of regard.

For fucks sake, If you only ever buy one bundle in your life, make it this one.

Bastion
The action-RPG Bastion won over the gaming public with its incredible attention to every detailâEU"from the tight combat controls, to the inspired, narrator-driven storytelling in a novel, post-apocalyptic fantasy world. Players take on the role of the Kid, entrusted with the thankless task of restoring the world after a disastrous calamity. With a none-too-small arsenal of stylized weapons, jaw-dropping art, and amazing music, Bastion truly deserves its reputation as a must-play indie game by Supergiant Games.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Amnesia: The Dark Descent is Frictional Games' first-person, survival horror masterpiece, pitting a weaponless protagonist against the darkest secrets of the castle he's trapped in. With an emphasis on puzzle-solving and maintaining sanity amidst unspeakable abominations, Amnesia's tense adventure breaks new ground for a well-loved, but challenging genre.

Psychonauts
The acclaimed action-platformer Psychonauts bears all the marks of a mad Tim Schafer/Double Fine creation: a zany premise, standout characters, and fun-above-all gameplay. In Psychonauts, you play as Raz, a psychically gifted kid at a summer camp-slash-training facility for mentalist super agents. When the camp falls to a dastardly deception, it's up to Raz to traverse through the minds of various camp characters to save himself and his friends.

Limbo
The captivating puzzle-platformer LIMBO is a modern classic, putting players in control of a boy's journey through a tense and hostile world. The protagonist is as fragile and hardy as you'd expect of a young kid, making for a novel and sometimes surprisingly intense adventure. With incredibly tight platforming, detailed 2D graphics, and well-designed puzzles, LIMBO has rightfully earned critical and popular acclaim for the Danish indie studio, Playdead.

Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP
Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP delivers a completely fresh adventure gaming experience, defying conventions to develop a unique kind of storytelling. The plot is unveiled in "sessions," each of which involves traveling through the countryside and solving puzzles and combat challenges. Every scene overflows with rich graphic and auditory details, featuring distinctive artwork by Superbrothers Inc. and music and sound design by Jim Guthrie.

There may be a giveaway some time in the future ;)

That does seem really cool. Can you buy it on the PS3?

Only Limbo is available on the PS3, I'm afraid. This collection is for the PC, with redeemable Steam keys.

Like a fucking idiot I forgot the URL, sorry.

Holy nipples this is amazing. Why couldn't all the humble bundles be like this?

Bumping because they have just added Lone Survivor, Braid and Super Meat Boy to the bundle (all as beat-the-average games though). So if you still don't own this you're officially stupid.

You should still have the new games. I just went to my download page and all the new games are there for me and I redeemed my code a few days back. I didn't even pay for it. There was a guy on this site giving codes away to anyone who wanted one.

I'll need to try and get them installed seeing as they're all Linux compatible.

Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP is quite the unique game, I really enjoy it. The art in it is absolutely beautiful as well.

Notch will not be outdone by the HumbleBrony. Notch currently has paid almost $10 000 for the bundle.

Is that like... a bad joke? Superbrothers is amazing. Also has an 85 on Metacritic.

This guy here did not beat the average and now has the option to get them on both download pages.

With this and just finding out they included #3 with those who got #4 I've now acquired a shit ton of new Steam games lately.

That was a great post. Right Zach?

Wait, that is weird. So the newly added games are for people who beat the average price only? The guy who gave me my humble bundle code never beat the average price because I never got Bastion, yet I have access to and have already downloaded the new games. Sweet.

Got this off of an article from the news off of the new games.

" Anyone whoâEUTMs already bought the bundle will be able to grab the new games gratis. If you havenâEUTMt already bought the bundle (WHY???), youâEUTMll need to splash out more than the average (currently $7.87) to get the three games included."

Anyone who reads this gets a cookie. Im a PSWii60-er =D.
Also the post I wrote probably isn't relevant to the post at all and if it is, its probably the wrong answer.

Ah, I see. That's pretty cool of them. Still wish I had a copy of Bastion but I really can't complain seeing as I got all this stuff free. Of all the games in the bundle, it definitely looks like the one I'd be most into.

I heard about this bundle a few days ago and it was an instant buy. I paid less than average, though, because I already own Bastion.

There is literally no excuse for not owning this, unless your computer is less powerful than a graphing calculator or something.

If anything, Superborthers is one of the best games on the list. Bastion, on the other hand, looked like a bore-fest.

I meant in term of renown, I'm not doubting it's a good game, but the before the bundle released I'd never heard of it.

Don't make me initiate full-on rage mode. Bastion is easily the best game there.

Pretty much, yeah. If it's a shitty bundle they'll add a well known game to make it sell better.

If it's already a good bundle they'll put in games from past bundles.

Payed $8.50 for them all, I don't really mind. It's like £4 for some good games.
