Check out this Newgrounds: The Forsaken City Project Update, featuring the animatronic Alien Hominid they are building!

If you can spare some cash, please contribute to this project. It is near the $10k mark but needs to raise another $20k in 19 days or else they get NOTHING. Could you really live with yourself if this series never gets a chance? If 300 people commit to the Blu-ray, we're all set.

In better times Newgrounds would have supported this project directly but right now we can't carry it ourselves. I like to think that with 15 million people visiting NG every month, we can raise the money. Even if you can just pay $5, every person counts. Your credit card doesn't get billed unless they hit the goal, so you either pay nothing or you get to be a part of something special here on NG.

I'm just assuming here, but I'm guessing a HUGE fraction of NG's users just go directly to the games and movies and never really scroll down to the news. Which, after checking now, the news isn't even on the front page anymore!

Damn! After viewing the trailer and seeing the Alien Hominid animatronic, I'll definitely chip in something when I get my paycheck. This looks like a really awesome idea, hopefully it'll become a reality.

I'll probably give it a couple more weeks before I donate. I'm in exam season right now, and I'll probably donate when that's over (just under a week before the deadline).

Depending on circumstances, I'll likely be donate somewhere around $30-50, because I recently found a load of spare cash lying around, and I wouldn't want to see all their work go to waste, especially after seeing that animatronic. It looks glorious.

Hahah Yeah the next update will have less jump cuts. A lot of our team isn't used to speaking on camera - to save you guys time and lots of "Um's" and "and/because" we try to trim everything down to the interesting, concise bits! This update gave us some trouble editing wise - but we'll be getter better about that.

Glad you guys are as stoked as we are for the AH anamatronic! :D

The jump cuts really bugged me too.

I'm torn with this. You have a great concept, and a great animatronic. But you can't re-record a second and third take with different framing? Or set up a second camera?
If you were doing true documentary film-making, I'd get that you can't re-do your take. But at the very least you could fix this with your presenter.
Please take this as constructive criticism: you need to prove to your potential backers that you can pull this project off, and stuff like this makes the project and the people involved look amateurish.
