I actually heard that scientifically, things always looked better when we were younger. The thing is, it really wasn't so much that the times themselves were that different (although I'd be lying if I didn't say the 90's did look better by today's standards) but it was mostly because it was a time where we were kids and we didn't have to worry about having a job or leaving the house or even cared much about sex. It's something that most people go through in their lives.

Why are you angry? If the generation shift doesn't bother you then why do you care if a bunch of teenagers feel nostalgic every now and then?

People might say stuff like cartoons were better in the 90s because we had stuff like Dexter's Labrotory and Rocko's Modern Life. We still have great cartoons today, just look at stuff like Phineas And Ferb and MLPFIM. Granted, it's all a matter of opinion, but there's really any period of history (well, at least a time where you were alive) where you could list a bunch of good and bad things about what was going on. There have always been wars and political unrest.

It was the best decade for mediums Like Video games and animation because thats when they started to evolve into 3D.

It was also the last time period that cartoons were actually hand drawn and more original then now. I say this because sometime in 2,000 new animation techniques caused a lot of these new abominations to spawn.

Tell them sarcastically remember the nineties man the clothing was awesome and the music was getting way better then before. i loved living in 1999 i can remember being a one year old in diapers and having a blast.

Never really noticed this. I guess I could fit myself in this category, since I was born in 1994 and still sometimes talk about the past. I don't really split the past into 90s 80s 00s, I just refer to it as "the past". Also my excuse is that I live in a post-soviet country, so in the 1990s we were REALLY behind the rest of the world. Our 90s looked like the 80s to the rest of the world.

I was born in the late 80s, so I remember the 90s pretty well. It brought alot of memories to my childhood.

You're missing the point. People who hate the present and have no future love the past. They weren't better, simpler times by any means except for the perception of generations who were happy young kids in those years. Trust me, once you get married, or whatever it is you do. When you start living with people who do nothing but bring up the past in negative ways and use it against you, you'll probably have less of a problem with people bringing up the past in a positive light.

Uhh, no you're actually wrong. People born early in that decade actually do talk about the 90's extensively. Maybe not so much anymore because it seems to have become some sort of hipster entitlement fad, but it's understandable that they enjoy reminiscing about it because it was their childhood and that's arguably one of the most enjoyable times in your life. Also no, I don't think I've ever heard anyone born in 1999 talk about the 90's, mostly because I'm in my 20's and those kids are young teenagers and I don't associate my social group with kids.
