i've done some searching on youtube for tutorials on how to make tweens not look / feel so robotic but i haven't found anything great. does anyone here have some resources or info they'd like to share on making tween animations look better ?

I would recommend trying to mix tweening and frame by frame animtion as much as possible, rather than just having long sections of just tweening. Also, have you tried using the ease function when tweening? That helps the animation look less robotic and it's really easy to apply.

Add easing to tweens. Easing makes the tween's frames look like it's speeding up or slowing down the action.

I use the custom easing graph (for classic tweens) most of the time, and add easing to just about every tween I use. Helps smooth things out.

i know how to use easing , i thought someone would mention the "motion editor"... i never really learned it , is it not very useful?

Do frame-by-frame if you need to, and mix in some tweens. Easing can definitely improve it, though try not to go overboard on the easing, I made that mistake once.

What everyone else has said, Don't focus on "tweens" focus on animating with a mixture of both tweens and FBF.

I may write a tutorial on my page on this question as it gets asked a lot.
