There was this one girl that told me that she liked me. I thought I would have a chance with her, so I decided to flirt with her a bit more. I called her my best friend, and which we got closer. I asked her out and she replied to me with "You're by bff. I dont want to ruin it." I instantly died at that moment.

There's where you made the mistake. There's no point in hiding your romantic interest. You don't have to state it directly but make it pretty clear, and don't let her call you her BFF or whatever.

You probably asked her too quickly, or you both don't even know anything about each other, that she doesn't feel comfortable with you yet. You shouldn't rush things, and you should also take the time to get to know each other.

You need to know her. How to tell when shes sad when she doesn't want you to notice, if you really like her; actuallyknow her before you ask her out. If you don't know what she likes or doesn't then how do you plan on making her happy?

Move on, and act in control. This will do one of two things - if she's into you she'll try to follow, in which case you go ahead and tell her to go out with you, and on that date you get close, kiss, sex, whatever you can achieve to push yourself out of the friend zone. Because of how you established yourself, though, there's little chance of chasing her and getting more than a friendly kiss on the cheek. If she follows you then she's pursuing you, and that gives you the opportunity to move out of that zone.

If she doesn't follow you and lets you do your own thing then it mentally frees you up to find another young woman so you don't repeat the same friend-zone mistake again. Sorry, but if she's not making an effort to get in touch with you then you're not likely to get out of the zone. Sucks to be you, but there are plenty of other attractive women out there; go find another one for yourself.
