What Holocaust event is this?

So I'm writing an essay about the Holocaust, and I remember this specific event, but i don't remember what it's called or the name of the Jewish chick that made it out... I've looked everywhere and can't find it. I'll try to describe it in the hopes that someone knows it

Anyways- in this event, the Nazis had a bunchload of Jews that they wanted to kill (for some reason i think it was 32,000) in this specific area, i think it was near a town... They marched them down to a river and would put them in this area and shoot them with machine guns and MP40's... and they just kept doing that until they'd killed them all. This one Jewish lady jumped under other dead Jews and pretended to be shot and waited, underneath dead bodies lying still, for hours until nightfall, when she escaped.

I remember reading it was the single event in the Holocaust that caused the most deaths specifically, like, in no other day or event were so many Jews killed at once.

And also, I'm trying to gather specific badass survivors for my essay, and so i have aforementioned nameless chick, anne frank, and that it, so if anyone knows any links would be appreciated...

Anne Frank died in the holocaust.

Read up on the Sobibor uprising, a few people surivived it.

Oh, well, I honestly thought she made it out, I guess I was wrong. I just remember hearing about her hiding and stuff so I guess I always thought she was successful.

Anyways, honestly my main goal is to get the name of that specific event... It's drivin me crazy

She did hide out with her family. But someone ratted them out. Her father managed to survive and he ended up publishing her journal. The reason she is so famous is because it gave a lot of people perspective on how it felt hiding for your life and the rough conditions that Jews had to go through not to get caught.
