There really wasnt much of an internet worth going on for a kid back in 97-98. No facebook, youtube, kongregate, or even 4chan (which I certainly wouldnt have known about anyway). NG pretty much started my regular internet visitation.

other than that newgrounds was really the first place I discovered upon discovering the internet.

VGDC and Razoric. Before that, though, I was only using the internet to hook up on Diablo (and later Starcraft).

Before newgrounds was other random sites I found by just googling "free online games."
So there were some flash sites and stuff that are great.
The sites that I stubmled apon and really liked are StickPage, MiniClip and Y8.
I also stumbled upon newground, but I didnt really liked it before.

Slashdot, I found that site in summer 1999 when I was a teen. 4chan in 2004. Reddit in 2007. I just found Newgrounds about a month ago.

The main websites I was on were Ugoplayer/AnimationArcade, Milkandcookies, and Ebaumsworld. In fact, I still go to all of those websites, but Newgrounds is of course more important than them. I don't think Ugoplayer has updated in a year and AnimationArcade hasn't updated in like THREE years. It's great to know this website is still up and will probably continue to be the biggest gaming website out there.
