In Dire Need Of Electro House Bass. May. 14th, 2012 @ 01:16 AM Reply

Well I'll get to the point.

I need some Electro house bass hits/loops. If you have skill in designing Electro basses (which I have none)
I'd love if you could possibly produce some for me.
Yes I'm willing to pay and make some sort of agreement on how you can get them to me.
Preferably .wav files would be nice. (:
And we can talk price if you are willing to do so. :p

If you wish to help me just PM me or reply to this thread.
If you know where I can get Electro house basses besides Loopmasters, Zenhiser or Massive presets just send me the link. If you just have some that you're willing to give free that'd be great too.

Thanks guys! (:

Haha, the only reason I didn't want massive pesets was because it's like you can just tell when people use massive, so I wanted to stay away from it, and also because my Massive crashed. But I'll check this out! (:

I'd do that IF I had the plugins required to make the synth.

Not many good quality plugins are cheap out there, but I use what I have.

How dumb are you?

Get a synth with a SAW WAVE

Put a couple osc on SAW, detune a bit

stack up and try free distortion plugins

Seriously learn to do something instead of being stupid.

You know, I would have taken that suggestion seriously if you weren't such a dick about it.
Excuse me for being "dumb" and not living up to your expectations and for not trying something like that.
But thanks anyways.

He's actually right, you are dumb for not trying. Do you expect good synths to be presented to you on a silver platter? Practice makes perfect, so start practicing!
You can easily make a good ''electro bass'' in any VST. Hell, 3xOSC will do the job just fine, in combination with some good distortion plugins/bitcrushers.

Hell yeah - dude. 3osc is pretty much what every other plugin is, and more. Its the basics - and it works great - u should really do some trial and error.

Cool kids throw in a sine for sub-bass.

Sine > Lowpass > More lowpass with an EQ plugin. That's how I create my sub bass. However, electro house bass is a more dirty and noticeable bass. Usually a saw with distortion and of course, good ol' lowpass.

Isn't a sine wave just one frequency anyway? The low pass and EQ would only adjust the volume of the bass as it reaches a higher pitch, wouldn't it?

Just curious. My sub bass doesn't always blend with my mid bass and I'm split between whether or not that's psychology or because I'm doing it wrong.

LP your sub around 80-100 hz

and hp likewise,

There should be any conflict because everything sounds about the same under 100 but people say sine waves are the "purest"... whatever that means.

the extra harmonics give the bass a bit more character, imo
even with a really smooth jungle bass i like a touch of soft-clipping just to make it growl a tiny bit

...That kinda explains a lot. Was having a bit of trouble getting full bass at some notes, lol

I'm gonna have to put some saw or square into my sub bass and see how it goes.

The square thing was a joke, squares go out of tune at lower octaves.

Here you go you lazy son of a bitch, a Benassi type Electro bass (who uses that nowadays anyway?), but you can tweak it into something awesome.

Made it with 3xOsc.
