Hey, I'd like to show you guys some art I've done and hopefully you'll like to give me some sort of review.
So I'll start off with this, which I did today:
I know I fall into this trap also, but can you work into other things other than the face.
Physiognomy is an easy trap for artists to fall into.
I like it! You have a nice line quality, especially around the eyes. I don't know if you consider this a finished work, maybe not, but at the moment I feel like the image lacks focus. Because it is the 'outlier' in the range of greys you've used, what you've outlined in black is drawing attention over the rest of the image. This means the sides of the face are most prominent, followed by the teeth, etc. For me, the focus should be that beautiful eye you obviously put care into. Maybe if you nix the black and use that dark grey again instead? For a quick piece you've whipped out in a day, it's quite nice and a good start for a character design.
Thanks for the feedback, I think I might return to that picture I posted and you're right about too much focus on the face on the face.

I mean, I can't really tell you how to make them better, (as the whole point is that they look strange and otherworldly) and for that I apologise, but I really quite like these :D
