If you make a mistake, like being 18 drinking at a party next to a 17 year old, boom. Criminal record. Girlfriend sends you pic of her naked? Boom. Registered sex offender, work at Target for the rest of your life. The list goes on.

Is it me, or if a kid makes a mistake, the rest of his life if screwed over? Is this fair?

First of all, a number of things are taken into consideration when you get fucked by the law. Typically, for first time offenders it isn't that bad, records are lifted after a certain a time, etc. etc.

If you're eighteen, you're not a kid. You should be held accountable for your shitty decisions and be capable of knowing what situations you should stay away from. If anything kids are coddled too much.

So true. I think it's unjust that if your girlfriend sends you a picture of her body of her own free will, Why is that my fault? Why do I instantly become a sex offender? It was the girls decision, she sent the picture, the only crime I did was receiving the picture on my phone. Which, by the time you receive the picture on you phone and it beebs, its to late to cancel receiving the pic. Not only this, But don't get me started on weed.

Well I'm not that dumb to get wrapped up in situations like this. Everyone makes mistakes but there are ways to prevent it.
