Anyone here ever been to Mt. Rushmore?
I really want to see it. It looks like one of the most breathtaking things to see in the whole United States of America, and it being in South Dakota, it's definitely in a remote area. Its surrounding area has a big national park that I hear is very scenic and beautiful, and more than 15 million or so visit Mount Rushmore a year on average.
Anyone been there, how was your experience? I'd love to see those president's heads!
No, I don't plan on it, it doesn't seem to have all that grandeur or magnificence that people claim to see in it.
i have been to yellowstone national park and then the gyser went off and it only went 10 feet into the air...
and that was the big thing that my family had been waiting around for a hour and a half to see...
i was so disappointed that after we were going back to the car i took a water bottle and tossed it into the air a good 50 feet.. .
then i stared at my mom...
that is why i no longer go to look at natural things anymore what i have to pay to go see

No, I don't plan on visiting Mt Rushmore since it's far away and I know I can just see photos of it. Sure, it won't be as good as the real thing, but seeing as the un-real thing is way, way easier and cheaper than seeing Mt Rushmore firsthand, I'll be quite contented just seeing some photos of it. The next best thing is always good enough.

My brother went to it and he said it was depressing because it was like mankind pissed on nature or something like that. And no, my brother isn't anti-American, he just thinks monuments like that suck.
