Read it, and have a few things to say about it:
1. You insulted a few members on the board trying to offer some generally good advise just because it didn't agree with your "non-profit" standard.
2. The thread gets closed as a result of that.
3. It's completely irrevelant to the thread, which is about the collab that is currently happening.
Anyway, yea, the thread has been kind of dead since I think people are still working on their parts... How have you guys come along with your parts so far?
Also, I think having the deadline at Sept 11 is kind of a bit much since I don't think people need more than a month to finish their project with their partners... but what do you guys think we should do?
(basically should we keep it at the same date, or shorten it to sometime within august?

I think I should've done that sooner yeah.

I don't know, haven't started much yet. I'm guessing keeping it at the same date. Maybe.
I guess. Not very sure. Uh-huh.
Just a hunch.

August should be fine, I mean if the parts only need to be 30 seconds it should be fairly easy to pull off in a few weeks. Also, confirming that I'm working with CidiousChef on the collab.
New tune: Yag

You wouldn't be the first to make that mistake so it's cool.
Remember to submit to Chimeranoise whenever you've finished your parts via Dropbox so he can start on the whole thing.
If you need a partner, post in the Partner Thread.
Otherwise, PM ChimeraNoise and submit to him your finished work (should be 30 secs unless specified by the PM sent earlier).
PM me if you never received the Team Collab PM.
Other then that, no new news. Just letting time pass... How are you guys parts coming along? And how many of you have submitted to Chimera so far?

CUBASE STILL ISN'T HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If it's not here like tomorrow or the next day I'm just gonna make a jury rig with a few cables again and just play lines myself straight into audition. It's works alright... I'd prefer not to do it, but it works....
I realized why it's not here yet, Paypal was being a bitch because I had eBay "maintenance fees" to pay, and then USPS is just being silly right now.
Yoshiii343 is gonna be soo sad at me..

Oh, you ordered a hard copy of cubase? why didn't you do a digital download if they offer that?
If I get a soft copy I'm guaranteed to lose it. My computer being 8 years old has lost everything 2 .5 times now.... So I didn't want to risk losing it. Also installing stuff off disks works great because you can't lose it, if you fuck up the install (computer freeze or something) it's okay you can easily try again, and the install is waaaaaay faster.
Though, I'm thinking now that I should've just said fuck the online sale that was going on and just picked it up in store.

Ohhh, icic... so basically if you do an online install, and something wrong happens, then you have to buy the program again? that's kind of fked up -.- ...

It's not a guarantee that it'll happen but it's happened to me in the past before. Most of the time customer service will fix it but there have been times when you have to rebuy a program...... What's the biggest problem I've had many times though, is if my computer bricks itself then I don't have the disks or the install & serial on hand then it's quite common for me to loose the program.. So yeah, to summarize: I really like discs.

lol, in this case, I would love discs too lol.
Anyway, it seems as though there are many groups that have 4 members in it, so it's good seeing that kind of active participation around that many members. Things are coming along very nicely, and we already have a few members finished with their parts already.
So now I think it's time to start discussing the prospects of the next collab (early I know... but it's better to just have idea on what to do, and to promote discussion within the members)
But of this collab, this one should be a competitive collab (maybe like groups of people work together on a song to get scored by judges) maybe that could be yearly so not only will people have the choice of doing their solo work (aka the NGADM) but coperative as well.
What do you guys think?
