State With Worst Reputation

What state, or region in the US do you think has the worst reputation for whatever reason? The people, etc? I think Texas has a pretty bad reputation because many people think of it as a Republican, redneck, educated, intolerant, racist type of environment, when the reality is, Texas is not truly all like this and a person can really make something out of Texas. There is some nice scenery in Texas too from what I have seen in pictures, and there's a booming economy.

Probably California, I don't care to much for California. I can't say I've enjoyed a single bit of music from there and it just generally comes off as Portland, OR but really big. I don't care for Portland either.

Well it depends on what type of bad reputation you;re talking about.

If you're talking about Ignorant Racist Rednecks, you're looking at Alabama and Mississippi. (Possibly Louisiana and South Carolina)

If you're talking about annoying Hot heads that talk too much, probably NY, or NJ.

If you're talking about just plain stupidity, I'd probably say California.

I agree with all the California suggestions, it is pretty shitty, and I do live there.
I'd have to say Texas could be just as bad, never visited there, but I know quite a few people who are living/have lived there.

No it's not. There are plenty of them in some places here but they're everywhere. I would say there are far more cholos or cholo wannabe types than you would see hippies. There are a lot of pot heads I guess but I'd figure Washington and Oregon and the like are more into those kind of things.
