Got into a car accident

So, Newgrounds, yesterday while driving home from practice I got into an accident involving four cars. Cars will be named A,B,C, and D. Assume they are in the same lane, A being in front, D being in back, and I'm car C. Car A was forced to stop quickly, and Car B, who was following too closely, was forced to stop too. Realizing she wouldn't have enough space to stop, she maneuvered to the right into the lane next to us. At this point I, Car C, was already braking/slowing, as I left myself enough space for such a situation. However, then the chick in Car B decides to turn left and cut back into my lane, where she pulled right in front of me and caused me to hit her, as by this time, there was less space between Car A and I. The abrupt stop caused by the collision caused Car D, who was following too closely to me, to hit me.

When the police officer showed up, he offered no tickets and simply said that everybody was following to close, yet I still believe the chick in Car B is at fault for trying to pull back into the lane rather than going straight. If she hadn't done that, she would have been safe, I would have stopped with enough space behind Car A, and Car D would not have hit me. And really, the only people following too closely were Car B and D.

Unfortunately, the consequence for this, being my 2nd accident in 6 months (the first being a very minor fender bender than the owner of the other car took advantage of), is that I've legally lost my license.

Have you been in any bad car accidents, Newgrounds? What were the results/consequences?

I was in my dads old Renault Laguna driving along an icy road when the car refused to turn and we hit a street light. It was by no means a bad car accident, but that's the only thing that even comes close to one. The result was a street light that was no longer standing upright. Funnily enough, that car was written off one of the following years, again due to icy roads only this time it hit and embankment.

I was driving through an intersection at about 35mph straight through when this bitch on the opposite side took a left into me going about 30 and hit me right on the driver side. Set off all my airbags on the driver side, crushed the door, shattered the windows, pulverized the mirror, and landed me in the hospital for the night for X-rays. I was going southbound. After the car came to a stop, I was facing northbound. I was driving a 4 door ford sedan, and she was driving a large Honda SUV.

Work car = totalled

Shame as the car WAS BRAND FUCKIN NEW. I picked it up for work, only had 7 mile on it. I put about 2,000 miles on it in a month and a half. BAM.

U-turned? No, just no. The best thing for me to do was hold my line, because both lanes around me had heavy traffic. I was pretty surprised that the traffic to the right of me stopped enough to let her do her maneuver. If she had not cut back in front of me, I would have stopped safely behind the car she was trying to avoid.

Plus, a U-turn would put me facing in the opposite direction of traffic. That's just stupid.

Actually, I have a court date tomorrow regarding my first accident. Originally, I was going to go in and probably get court-ordered remedial training, but since this popped up, I'm probably going in to get my license revoked. I'm going to ask my father what I can do. I've already prepared a bit of a defense speech, but I don't even know if I can defend myself in this scenario. Plus, USAA may not insure me any more, or something like that, because of my driving record now.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, you live in VA, Dickbuns, where I also live (Woodbridge area), so if you have any tips as to how VA law works in these situations, any advice is appreciated.

Woke up the next morning with a fuck ton of bruising down the entire left side of my body. Whiplash, and I still have a flinch when I'm driving when it looks like someone is coming from that exact same angle. Otherwise, nothing.

Yes......the same. I got into a fender bender before with another girl, that was technically my fault, but she was the one who rammed my car. I failed to yield, because of some jackass with every spot light known to man mounted on his truck being pointed right at me, stopped, threw it in reverse as no one was behind me, and before I could get back out of the intersection, chick rammed into me as if she didn't see me. Even though there was about 4 or 5 seconds that she had a clear view of my vehicle before she entered the intersection.

I do indeed live in Virginia, however my part of the state's politics are much, much different from yours.

I would be respectful to the judge and plead your case. Explain why the officer was wrong in merely stating "you were all following too closely" and that the issue was actually with an improper lane change that was her fault. I hope you got that girls' information and the officer's name and badge number. Don't state that the officer was wrong either. Simply explain the situation from what you saw was going on.

I've seen people accuse officers of being wrong before in traffic court, and it never went well. I thought the funniest thing was when an old codger literally slammed his pilot's license down on the judge's desk as if that was a get out of jail free card. He got told to go to a defensive driving course.

I also had a brand new car (just got the plates in). I was driving down a 4 lane divided highway, about 55 mph. An old lady in a F-150 just didn't see me and shot across. I T-boned her and totaled her truck. (It was wrapped around my car.) My car was also totaled because the way I hit it, it knocked the entire frame back like an inch (doors wouldn't shut anymore on the right side) and the engine under the hood caught on fire.

That was a pain in the ass. I had a 3rd degree burn on my hand, had to keep it wrapped.
