I was put off by the film's gigantic budget. The transitions and graphics were overdone and used gratuitously, and the music was also trying a bit too hard to pull at your heartstrings. The director's son also pissed the hell out of me.

I had no idea whst Kony 2012 was until South Park made fun of it.

I still don't know who/what the hell is Kony, or why is this thing so much mentioned in every place I go on the internet, but I must admit, I just don't care

Exactly this, even regular armies in Africa use child soldiers, then shoot them if they are injured.

If people really wanted to help the situation in Africa, they would donate money to a real aid organization, not plaster Facebook and crosswalk polls with video links and stickers.

Or go to Africa and actually help with the cause. What's really sad is when government listens to all the hype and sends out a press release. I'd be amazed if they spend a dime on actually trying to capture the guy. If he's really all that bad send in a team to kill him and get it over with. One of the many cases where the end justifies the means.

I am not entirely sure where I came across Kony 2012, but I eventually learned that it's about some evil dictator in Africa who forces children to fight in his army or something. I never saw the film, but I saw a spoof where Thatguywiththeglasses acted like a regular person viewing not only Kony 2012, but other videos that showed it being a fraud and other things. In the end, he shouted, "I just want my porn!"

It is starting to become a bit irritating at times. I don't doubt that Kony is this "evil bad guy", but I am tired of seeing so many Kony 2012 stickers on my college campus. It makes the school look shitty, and I wish they kept it on their cars, backpacks, or their other belongings.

First thoughts: "what/who the fuck is this thing/asshole?"

Second thoughts: "fuck it, I don't give a fuck."

There are worse people in Africa was all I could think.

Hell, there are worse people in North America.
