anyway, I have built a pony model in Illustrator and imported it to flash, It originally had body parts as well, the legs, torso and neck but they looked off. I want to make it look as believable as possible. That being said what is the best method to animating their bodies other than frame x frame?

Thanks, but that doesn't help me too much, my main problem is body movement :(

if you upload an swf of your ponie walk on the dump and post it here we could offer input on the animation or design issues
Really if you're working with loads of symbols it's best to use motion tweens.
Sorry I'm lazy, but a quick youtube tutorial search or even a tut search here on NG will tell you all about it.

Thanks, that's more along the line of what I was looking for I just didn't know what to call it.
I'll look into those as soon as possible!
