It's another "my dog died topic" yada yada yada.
My dog died today, his breathing had been strained lately and it got worse over the past few days. We had a vet appointment for tomorrow but he unfortunately never made it, he passed away at 430 under his favorite tree in the backyard where he will be buried tomorrow.
I picked him out of a litter that my friends parents bred 10 years ago almost to the day, he came 2 years short of the expected life span for the breed, but that's how the dice fall I guess.

Nova Scotia Duck Toller, nick named around here (Nova Scotia) the "Little River" breed because of where the breed was first recognized, medium sized dog, 40-55 pounds, red/brown color to them with distinct white markings on the paws, tip of the tail and nose, sometimes the mark on the nose extended to forehead. The chest and belly was also commonly white.

He had a couch that became his within the first year of his life due to his constant lying and sleeping on it, coincidentally the room in the house that the couch was in became known as his room, I plan on digging a grave deep enough for one of the cushions to fit inside of it with him.
