AVG because it actually works and doesn't have random pop-ups like McAfee.

I refuse to pay for an antivirus program, so I use a combination of 3, all of which are free. Working together my PC never has any problems, I run a scan weekly and nothing seriously dangerous is ever found.

Microsoft Security Essentials, Ad-Aware plus, and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. Get at me.

F-Secure, because AVG did not protect the computer against a virus which I had infected the computer with when I inserted a removable media which was infected.
It's a little annoying but it does its job very well.

I use the protection of a Mac. Before the trolls start flooding in, I DO have a PC, but I only use it for Steam

malwarebytes because it is the least intrusive and i don't need an antivirus to be constantly running in the background

Now I just downloaded Super Anti-Spyware because something weird happened and it says I have over 300 threats. Anybody know anything more about it?

My computer is shit itself so I won't pay for protecting a crappy PC.I prefer buying a new one.

I use a limited user account on Windows and have Internet Explorer set permanently to Work Offline.

Most effective antivirus system I've ever had.

Trend Micro Internet Security. It was already on my laptop when I got it, so I didn't bother to get a new one. Plus I just use Adblock Plus and No Script anyway.

I don't use any antivirus protection and I rarely ever get a virus. Imagine that.

This. MSE and MBAM are really the only things you need, and of course Common Senseâ"¢ 2012 Edition.

For those of you who use Macs, you can get viruses. UNIX based computers are non invulnerable. Also Macs are PCs (Personal Computers).

You should try MSE. It's really light and doesn't take much up memory while running.

Used to use Sophos until I reinstalled Windows, and now I use Avast. It meets my needs, and that's all I need.

I use AVG because it has a free version, I used to use a paid version but I don't feel like renewing it, so right now I'm using the free version of AVG. Plus someone recommended it to me way back when which is when I first got it.

That's the one running joke. We do get viruses, but Mac and Linux aren't the ones with the fucking monopoly over personal computers, now are we?
