go watch a movie or read a book about the topic of your animation. if im making an animation about zombies, i would go see a zombie move. if i am making a sad animation, i will go see a sad movie. i tend to get motivated that way.

I find just watching several flashes by animators who inspire/influence you, or heck, even cartoons on the tellabision.
It's all about getting started and making all the resources. As they say, 80% of the workout at the gym is getting there in the first place; at least I think that's what they say.
