Submitting down?

Seems that everything getting submitted at the moment is getting messed up.

If you try to reupload it says you're uploading a duplicate file, but if you go the the file you get this message.

Has this happened before? Do we know if it'll be fixed soon?

Little worried since I've got a flight in a day :S

Huh. I just thought they'd been on a Nazi-ing spree with new entries or some shit.

The last 6 or 7 entries show that for me. Chances are, something's gone wrong if you can't submit anything either.

I sent a message to Wade asking if something was broken.

And yes, they have absolutely been purging users who are stealing content recently. Something like 100 removed submissions today alone. I have to say, I like it.

Most of those actually are shovelware accounts. In the last week there's been an elimination of "authors" who submit 2 times a day crappy cookie cutter games to boost their ad revenue and visits to their websites. This kind of content adds no value to the site because it's all mass produced crap.

But yes, trust me there's a lot of eyes watching the portal closely. Just because there's no whistles, doesn't mean people will manage to break the rules. Some people are trying, believe me.

The new flashes that are starting to come through are still doing it. The older ones that were messing up are fine now however.
