That nearly every game sucks hard. Can't change that though.

i agree with you i see more and more game companies just trying to make a quick buck when i know they can do better then that even when there first game is better ...
Minecraft rules, try it but dont play free one free version sucks
I'm concerned about gaming companies valuing their interests over the gamers. Like the Mass Effect series. I really wanted all three Mass Effect games on the PS3 but since Microsoft owns the rights to Mass Effect 1 I could only play Mass effect 2 and 3.
Another example is Bethesda. Skyrim has massive framerate drops especially on the PS3 once the save file gets too large. When I play console and pay 60 dollars I had hoped it would run smoothly.
*Shitty online communities. Moba games are the biggest offender here. HoN's community is infamous for consisting of the scum of humanity, and Dota 2, honestly, isn't much better. LoL and Dota2 are better then HoN, though. At least they are trying to deal with it (Dota2 by making all the scumbags que with eachother, and LoL with its internal policing system). CoD is also an offender.
*Same shit, Different cover. CoD is the posterboy for this. Name one massive gameplay change in this series since Modern Warfare. (No, diving in Black Ops doesn't count).
*Really REALLY bad PC ports. Why do PC gamers have to get screwed over? I mean, come on. You can't even change FoV in MW3. What happened to the days when the games were ported from Pc to the consoles, not the other way round?
*Handholding. I refuse to play games that hold your hand throughout the entire game. I like a challenge, TYVM.
*Milking. I will never forgive Activision for what they did to Guitar Hero. Sega has earned my forgiveness with Sonic Unleashed and Generations.
*Unplayable on release. Its called playtesting. Learn to do it, video game developers.
"Humans, who are unique in their ability to learn from others, are also unique in their disinclination to do so"
"You chose to believe, even if it wasn't true. That is all."
Prices, mainly. I know a lot of work is put in but £40 really is a lot of money.
Also PC elitists who insist that consoles are holding PC development back Alright then, tell me how PC exclusives are indistiguishable from real life. Pricks. I don't have a problem with PC gamers - just the elitists who brag about their "9 core, 1080p triple screen set ups" and always brag about how consoles have terrible graphics and everyone who uses one is automatically retarded.
Purchases you don't own.
Games that require you too use a client and be online all the time so you are allowed to play the game. And if you don't think it's a problem; if you have a 360 account with arcade or GOD or indie games, or a Steam account with games purchased from it; try playing those games without connecting to the internet or using your client... you can't, they won't let you, even if the files are in your harddrive.
Game companies are getting this idea that maybe it's better to use digital distribution to fight used sales and piracy, or it's a way to keep people from changing one thing and reselling it as their own work. While that's fine and all, forcing me to acknowledge the fact that I don't own the content and sign that I won't be able to do anything about it, that's bullshit.
I bought the game, I should ask for a refund if the game is a bad port, or make our own servers for multiplayer when the pulishers take the old ones down because it's an old game. But no, we can't; IT'S MY MONEY, DAMNIT!!!

That whole, "You're not buying a game, you're buying a license to play a game," bullshit is pretty infuriating. I don't mind if I'm only shelling out one or two bucks for a smaller game, but I have extreme reservation about digitally purchasing larger AAA titles.
I'm sorry, buying a license to play larger AAA titles.

Dude, that's pretty much the polar opposite of what a hipster is.
A hipster is someone who doesn't like things solely because they're popular/mainstream, and likes things that are unpopular/obscure.
"Modern gaming sucks."
"FPS games have no right to exist."
These are things a hipster might say.
"Skyrim is the best game ever."
A hipster would never, ever, ever say this. Plus, it's hardly a fad if Skyrim really is a lot of people's favourite game.
Skyrim's one of the most popular games this gen, which is why a hipster would hate it. If we're talking about the TES series, their favourite game in that series would probably be the first one, Arena, since most people don't know what it is and the people who do know that nobody liked it.
The more you know.

You can also call out Capcom for doing the samething with they're super mega ultra platnuium hit happy fun time versions of Street Fighter released on a monthly basis.
Street Fighter 4: 2009
Super Street Fighter 4: 2010
Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition: 2011
The only thing you could really say is MvC3 -UMvC3 (6 months) but at least that game has a whole lot of extra content.
That being said this is the fighting game model. It's pretty difficult (impossible) to make a really balanced game on your first try. It would be difficult to name a fighting game that has more than one in the series, that doesn't have multiple versions, that most people take seriously.
Think about it though. Street Fighter 2 had 6 versions. No one complained then, they just didn't play the updated version if they didn't like it (hence the Super Turbo, and Hyper Fighting communities).

And the reason they released that separately was because of the earthquakes and tsunami in Japan which halted the DLC development. Apparently they felt it was too late to release everything as DLC or something.
Last.fm + XBL: SirGriswald + PS3: The_Nerdist + Steam: MakeshiftNG
Honestly, I'm mostly indifferent to the whole DLC thing, and I believe that the entire idea that the game industry is "dying" is bullshit, but if there's one thing that needs to fucking die, it's the motion controlled gaming craze.
I think my biggest concern is the terrible case of sequel-itus the industry has right now. Everything that's coming out seems to be a sequel to something. I WANT SOME ORIGINAL IDEAS DAMMIT!
That being said, a lot of downloadable titles like FEZ are doing some pretty original stuff.
does anyone heard about the anti-used-game for the next gen consoles they are out of they're mind's....

Forgot where I saw the stats, but apparently, used games damage profit more than pirating.
I never make mistakes. I thought I did once, but I was wrong.
Achievements ever since they came up with it they take the fun out of old school gaming where you just play for fun and enjoy the game. Now because of those Trophies and Achievements they are making me go insane instead of enjoying the game. Also it's always about FPS now in days not enough Fantasy, Horror, RPG, Slice of life, etc kind of games. Always shooting type of game back when the PS1 and PS2 they had verity and the concept was never the exact same thing over and over again. Developers now in days can't be original and give us something new to play instead they give us FPS or anything that's overused.
