Iphone 4 Sms Export

Hey guys. I didn't know what the most relevant forum for this would be, so I'm just going to start in General.

I'm trying to export my Iphone 4's SMS archive into either a database or (preferably) an excel file. I tried to do the online thing where you send them your shit and they send you a file, and that failed. I tried to convert it to a sqlite file, but it didn't read the archive file and wouldn't read out any content. The sqlite file is a solid 3.55Mb of text, so I know it's there. But it looks encrypted, and I didn't encrypt it. Has anyone else had the same problem, and knows of a workaround? My Iphone is an Iphone 4, I have a dual-boot Ubuntu 11 and Windows 7, and my Itunes is 10.5. Thanks for any help.
