I think the Portal Music schit is going to be bothersome, the only songs I really think will work are commercial songs but no matter I'll make it work!

Well, you don't HAVE to use portal music, just make sure it's music you have permission to use. Under royalty-free, public domain, and/or some creative commons. Look into it a bit to make sure you're music is alright, and you should be good.

Are clay animations acceptable? I understand the claymation phase has long since become obsolete but I feel like I may be able to pull something off.

It's not obsolete, and yeah I don't see why you can't do stop-frame animation, this isnt TOFA anymore, the flash label has been removed.

Been ages since I made an animated short. I'm defiantly doing this to blow the dust off my flash icon!

Precisely. So long as it can be submitted to NewGrounds and can be considered an Animation, it's good.

I started that flash like 3 weeks ago animated not even 10 seconds lol. I plan to finish it. But with no deadline I don't feel as motivated. I'm doing this for the discipline!

As a note: If 32+ people don't enter, the contest will default to the top 16 entrants instead of 32, and one round will be eliminated from the contest. I am hoping that word will get out enough for us to get 32, however :)

Well, time to get off my lazy bum and animate something. It's probably going to suck and not get done, but whatever. The worst that could happen is that I get something done, and that's not a bad thing. Besides, this theme is awesome.

Now to wait for inspiration...
