Thanks but I should have mentioned its a zoom so I cant really move other stuff unless I use a VCAM which I dont think would help with lag at all

Hmmm ... The other thing is - save the blur thingy as a .png (only the blur thingy) and then use it in flash as an image [just remember to allow smoothing and rise the quality of the picture in the library]

That would be pretty awesome, and might get more entrants if people decide not to drop out because they are hesitant about submitting something unfinished to the portal.

That's kind of my dilemma right now.

Well I'm gonna have to drop out, unfortunately I was too ambitious with it and shot myself in the foot.
I've pretty much done 3 all nighters in a row and now feel so dizzy and sick, I can't physically work on it anymore and I still have all the backgrounds left to paint..so yeah
I'll finish it up some other time.
